Congrats to the Dodgers. Of course will be rooting for them against the Yankees.

Not even mad. Mets had a season no one could have predicted. They were not as good as LA. Plain and simple.

Hopefully they build off this season and don't go back to 75 wins next year.

Pete Alonso most likely played his final game as a Met. Sad to see him go

Go Dodgers

Btw, the two teams with best records in baseball will be facing each other in the World Series.

I will be rooting for The Yankees just because they have Anthony Rizzo and it would be cool to see him get another ring. That said, I'll be watching every game. Both teams are loaded with stars, and it's good for Baseball for them to be facing each other. Should do the best ratings in years.

At least that long, weird streak of every team that eliminated the Brewers going to the World Series ended.

I hope during Game 7 a wild brawl occurs pulling the majority of both teams onto the field and then the ground begins to implode ala Bane's attack in Batman.

Fuck the Yankees.
Fuck the Dodgers.

What a fucking thriller. I started watching around the 5th inning and this series is going to be something else. The last 3 or 4 innings are why Baseball has become my favorite sport over Basketball.

I missed this game, but I will have to check out the series. This feels like an all timer, the amount of hall of famers that will be playing in this one might be one of the highest if not the most for any World Series ever.

Obviously flying under the radar but the Rangers announced they will be cutting payroll this off season. Most of their big contract players will likely be dealt. Jacob deGrom however has a full no trade clause.

Took a quick look and the 1932 World Series had twelve hall of Famers. Granted some of those are questionable.

Yankees exposing how weak the AL was this year. Still smh how DET, KC, and CLE were in the playoffs in the midst of Rick Hahn’s planned parades lol.

I don’t feel happy for any of the big market teams in baseball (so it’s not like I’m super ecstatic to see the Dodgers win) but obviously seeing the Yankees lose in the World Series pleases everyone outside of New York*.

*and even a lot of people in New York!

It’s still not over but it kind of is.

Thinking about the Yankees not winning a game (yet). A surprising number of franchises have gone a long time without winning World Series games. The Cubs went 71 years. The Phillies had a 65 year drought. It took the Rangers almost fifty years. The Mariners are close to 50 years. The Pirates have gone 45 years now. The Angels, Astros, White Sox, Orioles, Indians/Guardians, Brewers, Athletics, Padres, Expos/Nationals all had 40 year gaps.

I'm not watching the series but I saw the fan interference last night. That's gotta be the worst I've ever seen, not counting people actually running onto the field. The fans got banned from game 5 but they need to be banned for life, what a fucking disgrace.

The Chicago White Sox had a gap of 88 years between their 1917 and 2005 World Series victories.

This miffed me as a casual sports guy how everyone went nuts for the Red Sox breaking the 86 year gap in 04 and nobody gave a shit about my White Sox in 05

Edit: oh, just winning a game never mind lol

The White Sox have a remarkable ability to sneak under the radar of baseball history. The only back-to-back first place finishes in their history was 1993-94. But they've rarely been extraordinarily bad either. The White Sox have only finished last nine times. I think there's just no consistent narrative to build around them. It's a shame because the White Sox may have as much personality about them as any franchise in baseball.

Is Willy Adames going to LA, Atlanta, or somewhere else?
