Has anyone else checked out the official site for Mass Effect 3? There's some pretty cool stuff in there.

Hanar soldier is what I want.
Agent of Verizon said:Actually, Elcor vanguard would be so worth it for the romance subplot.
A Happy Medium said:I like the idea of a Krogan engineer taking cover and throwing out combat drones while a Salarian holds the line.
INSIDE SCOOPZ (nothing major, but don't worry about the single player)Conspiracy_Victim said:Agent of Verizon said:Actually, Elcor vanguard would be so worth it for the romance subplot.
"Extreme arousal... Oooohh baby right there, yeah."
So from what I understand, the multiplayer function is you and some teammates doing some separate missions to take control of areas, which will somehow reflect on the single player game in some way, including providing an alternate way to beat the single player campaign somehow. To quote IGN, "This 'alternative method' appears to be called "Mass Effect 3: Galaxy At War," a new system that will allow gamers to alter a Galactic Readiness level that gauges the player's level of preparation for the game's final battle. Priestly wrote that "players can impact their game's Galactic Readiness level in multiple ways via the Mass Effect 3: Galaxy at War system, including multiplayer. Other platforms and interfaces will be announced in the coming months." "
As someone who doesn't play a lot of multiplayer, I hope it doesn't have too big an effect on the single player campaign. However, if someone wants to run through the multiplayer missions send me a message. I call the soldier class, race to be determined. A salarian soldier might have some comedic value. Or I'll just go Krogan and run everything over.
What about quarian? I'd imagine that'd be pretty easy, too.Edwin said:INSIDE SCOOPZ (nothing major, but don't worry about the single player)Conspiracy_Victim said:Agent of Verizon said:Actually, Elcor vanguard would be so worth it for the romance subplot.

Minimal effect on the single player. You can ignore co-op entirely and still get the same results--it's just an alternate means of doing things. A lot of the co-op will resemble the Gears of War horde mode, with waves of enemies. Krogan, Salarian, Asari, Turian, and Drell are definitely good to go with others possible. Being the most humanoid-shaped of races, they're easiest to set up as a player character. Other goofier-shaped races present some camera issues, and not all had been modeled/tested in combat. Co-op probably won't go gold until December or January, so there's still time to add more features and test/fix bugs.
