I somewhat remember this one but figure it is worth sharing here given one of the competitor's newfound recognition in 2018. From his brief run in WWE with the CWC, Kota Ibushi worked a couple NXT matches. At that point, Buddy Murphy had dissolved his team with Blake but would work some of the better workers that were adjusting to WWE style such as when he worked the house show loop with Aleister Black when Black was still relatively new to the company. Not long after this, Murphy faded off into the background until getting his shot on 205 Live this year

IIRC that was during the period where WWF had signed the Hardy Boys and were trying out other OMEGA talent (Garner, Abs). I believe Garner had a couple other on screen matches as well while Abs joined up with the Mean Street Posse later.

Also Big Dave was claiming that WWE NEVER lost the match and has had it in their possession. Which if that was the case, why wasn't it on the Unreleased DVD a few years back or one of the gazillion Bret DVDs? They put that YouTube rip of the Andre match from Italy on one.

And apparently match was fully produced and has commentary from Gorilla and Bobby Heenan.

I saw this one on one of those WWF Coliseum Home video tapes rented from a Mom & Pop rental store in the early 90s. I think that's around the time I fell in love with Perfect's theme because I think it was still in between Summerslam 91 and Survivor Series 92.

This may have been from the era where they cut back his paint to normalize him for the humans in the audience. Given how late it is in his title run, that makes sense.
He could also have said F it and just done the squash.
