Shit didn't even think of that. First he figures out how to turn it off then he figures out how to disable my profile. He's getting smarter.

Apparently the next 360 update will do away with MS Points in favour of real money values.

I can neither confirm nor deny that as something currently taking place within the dashboard beta.

Kinnect won't be required to use the Xbone, but they 'have no intention' of selling an Xbone without Kinnect. So look forward to paying for a device you might not use.

I wish they'd have just never reversed policies and told people to suck it. I don't see anyone stopping the use of their cell phone despite how much of their info is leaked and recorded...but by god, Kinect and MS are creating Big Brother!

Fuckin people are acting as batshit insane as Cereal Killer from Hackers..

At a Friend’s House with Xbox One
On Xbox One if you are an Xbox Live Gold member, you will be able to go to a friend’s house and play co-op multiplayer– even if your friend is not a Gold subscriber. Once you log in with your Xbox Live Gold account, everyone using that console can access multiplayer and entertainment apps for as long as you are logged in.

The way that's worded, it almost sounds like local multiplayer is Gold-only. Surely that's not the case, and they just forgot to mention the online part.

They mentioned phasing out Microsoft Points for actual currency at E3. A few months ago, they put out an FAQ that said amounts transitioned from MSP to currency would expire in one year. Looking at it now, it seems like those amounts expire June 1st, 2015. Which... I still don't understand why it would expire at all.

Xbox One coming to 13 markets at launch, not 21 as originally planned

It looks like the Xbox One won't be as widely available at launch as originally planned. Citing a need to meet demand, Microsoft said today that its new console will be available in 13 countries at launch, instead of the 21 initially promised. Instead, the remaining eight markets will get it sometime in 2014. All told, those 13 lucky countries include: Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Spain, the United Kingdom, the United States and New Zealand. The other eight -- Belgium, Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Sweden and Switzerland -- will still sell it eventually, but for now Microsoft isn't committing to a firm launch date. For now, all we know is that it's promised to arrive "as soon as possible next year." As a "show of appreciation for your patience," to use Microsoft's words, people who placed pre-orders in those eight cut-off countries will receive a free game. Feeling consoled, guys?

Developer for DICE (Swedish Battlefield 4 dev @Demize99) adds: "I see Microsoft seems intent on making it easier and easier to pick #PS4 for Gen4 in Sweden."

If you turn on your Xbox 360 in the next few days, you'll probably be prompted to download an update. This is to switch everything from Microsoft Points to actual currency.

The first time you attempt to purchase something, you'll be given a prompt saying how much your previous point total is now worth. I can't remember how much I had; I'm pretty sure it was 60MSP--under 80, at least. (Another screen says it was, in fact 60MSP.) It's giving me $1.16, which is a pretty decent conversion, considering Canadian points are about 70MSP = $1.

I sort of want to add a point card on there before switching to see how that works, but I seem to have misplaced my bag o' points.

I don't think they've done anything goofy with Canadian Marketplace prices, either. A 3-pack of Rock Band 3 songs is $5.49, which is what 440MSP converts to in USD.

That seemed like a rather large (read: long time to download) update just for that, considering you get prompted about it again if you go to the store, but I guess there's a LOT of stuff to convert there.

Some notes about my MSP conversion experience (this is all Canadian):

The day the update was made available, I had 60MSP on my account, for which I was offered $1.16. I skipped out on the conversion.

I just tried to redeem a 1,400-point card on the Xbox 360, and it redirected me to the currency exchange screen before actually redeeming the code.

Trying to redeem the code on Xbox.com is giving me an error: "Sorry, you’ll need to go to an Xbox 360 console to use this code. For more info, please visit [www.xbox.com/pointsfaq]."

I took the $1.16 on my 360, and got an e-mail about it.

After redeeming a 1,400-point card, my balance is now $21.46--so $20.30 for the $20 card. Weird. I used to get an e-mail when I redeemed a card, but I haven't yet for this one.

Buying "I Want to Know What Love Is" for Rock Band 3, the price is $1.99 (formerly 160MSP), supposedly plus tax. I do get an e-mail for that purchase. It says $1.99 with $0.00 tax, which checks out with a new wallet amount of $19.47. That's nice, since I probably already paid tax on the point card.

Oddly, if I go back to the same purchase screen on the 360 console, it's giving me the option to buy the same song again. Previously, a window would pop up asking if I wanted to re-download the content. After re-starting the console, it's now giving the expected "Download Again" option.

Xbox One release date is November 22 in all of their launch markets. That will be 1 week after the PS4 in the US and Canada and a week before the PS4 in their European markets.

Interesting going with an earlier date in the Euro-market.. does anyone actually base their console choice on which one is out first anyway?

Nov 22 seems good though, closer to Black Friday.. I wonder if retailers will also do sales? Or is that way too early for something this big/new?

Retailers won't do sales because they won't have any of either system in stock to sell on Black Friday

Maybe not console but people who get both might get 3rd party games on the PS4 instead of waiting.

Actually not a bad video. He's pretty forthcoming with answers and explaining why Kinect is with every system, their stance on their first comments about always on and hardware specs.
