I like Tom Hanks, and love me some Elvis. I'll definitely see this streaming someday since I like to avoid public places after 20 years of retail.

I've still yet to see Kurt Russell's Elvis movie.... I should snoop around the streaming sites for that too.

Almost had a heart attack when I saw one of my retro channels mention this thing has sold for as much as $2000

I have a "big box" copy...at least I should still if I didn't finally donate it.... but I will have to look if its first run. Its surely not sealed. Other ebay comps are like 5 bucks. :(

Pretty sure his last movie that actually looked good visually was "Lords of Salem". Also, I'd be more forgiving of the ugly look of it if the trailer actually had a moment that was funny.

Wow, yeah this comes off as a fan-made trailer of a low budget homage to the Munsters more than an actual mainstream feature film from Universal. Worse, way worse, than I expected. To say this even looks amateur is probably not stating it correctly.

And how terrible Sheri Moon Zombie is in this role from the looks of it so far, egad!

I watched this the other day and it was a lot funnier than I thought it would be. I grew up with Beavis and Butthead, but some of the original show hasn’t aged well.

Sherri is the best part of that, too.

We watched this at work. Boss thought it was a Disney Channel special.

So no shock, Munsters will be streaming on Netflix upon release. I'm sure the first look at things last week didn't endear the studio to want this be theatrically exclusive AT ALL.

A followup on the Munsters stuff.....another trailer came out, still looks like shit. They even tried B/W instead but it still is no good.

Now news dropped that not only will it be on Netflix in September or October, but they are going to jumpstart a Blu-ray/On Demand release BEFORE that sometime in September.

Upon all of this news (and one has to assume this wasn't the original plan until the trailer hit and caused immediate backlash) Rob Zombie posted a rebuttal to everything today on social media.....came off kinda defensive......claimed this was ALWAYS the distribution plan, but I highly doubt it. Seemed like Universal scoffed at everything once that trailer hit and now RZ is doing some smokescreening here.

A 600-pound (272 kg) middle-aged man named Charlie tries to reconnect with his 17-year-old daughter. The two grew apart after Charlie abandoned his family for his gay lover, who later died. Charlie then went on to binge eat out of pain and guilt

lmao I'm sorry I can't help it

I always find it funny when spinoffs like that come up. I live in a white minority area as I've said before. My experience of America in terms of at my house is completely different than most Americans. I have been around the country though so I get how it all works and goes, I've seen a lot of this place. But anyway, during Creed II when the movie theater looked like the set of Training Day (I don't mean this in a bad way) I don't remember anyone reacting to Ivan Drago AT ALL.

I'm not sure what the audience is for that kind of spinoff. Creed and Creed II made so much money because they, like the Fast series, serve an audience (black and Mexican guys who see themselves as extra masculine) that doesn't really get a lot of good movies. Fast series has a lot of bad movies but that's beside the point. It would be not ideal for a bad spinoff to kill this series entirely.
