The third pick only has incredible value if Charlotte does something stupid. Now they do stupid shit all the time but Jordan is leaving. They’d have to trade Rozier if they drafted Scoot but that’s an easy decision from where I sit.

The Beal contract apparently is a real albatross. Wizards are apparently blowing things the heck up so I can believe that they’d do that deal but Blazers aren’t going to mortgage their future for Bradley Beal.

I think some teams are going to be spooked by the limitations of the second apron, so I think most teams are going to try to clear being close to it or off of it.

I’m seeing Beal’s career trajectory being pretty much on par with Mitch Richmond’s at this point. Great numbers on subpar/bad teams, but if he’s part of a big 3 then maybe you can get out of the first round? I don’t know that Fox/Sabonis/Beal is a trio I can see making a deep run. Beal is probably gonna have to try to get a ring the same way Mitch did, and that’s far from a guarantee

Miami is really the only destination that makes sense but who knows if Butler gets pissy with another potential number one on the team (as he did in Minnesota and Philadelphia) and it schlongs their chemistry.

Beal in Sacto would spook me just because I think they need to spend their assets to find a big. Seeing Sabonis getting dominated by Looney and Green worries me about no matter how good their offense is what can they do in the playoffs against bigs.

25 games seem somewhat reasonable after his 8 games in March and the money he'll lose is a decent chunk - "Due to make around $33.5 million this season, Morant now stands to lose just over $300,000 per game -- or approximately $7.5 million."

Celtics also got the 25th Pick in today's NBA Draft and a 2024 1st-round pick. Celtics badly needed a big who can score/play defense, which they get in Porzingis and this frees up time for Derrick White & Malcolm Brogdon who will help the Celtics be more efficient scoring-wise at the PG position.

It feels like a mini version of when Pierce and KG got traded in my social media feed. People thinking with their heart instead of their head. Ultimately, this is a make or break season for Tatum to show that he is ready to be a true team leader. He got his best friend hired to be an assistant and now Marcus is gone so there’s no excuse for him to not step up.
