Just waiting on if old man's done his red shirting and we'll start the season off with waiting on Cartman to play the only Week 1 game.

And then realized I promised a 68 OVR LG that he'd see significant playing time behind an offensive line of 4 seniors & a juniors whose lowest OVR is 88. oops. hopefully long snapper + 3rd FB is sufficient.

My issue was that the game would freeze at the coin toss screen (also froze at the Reese's Perfection logo when I decided to let the pre-game stuff run through).

Army Steamrolls Akron 52-7

Experimented with a new offense based on the Single Wing concept and it paid off absolutely beautifully. Santiago was a beast the entire game and Akron simply couldn't stop the combined rushing attack of Santiago and Kendrick. Defensively I got them down early and forced them to try and convert long 3rd Downs, which they were unable to do.

RB Giorgio Bowers: 10 carries for 75 yards and 1 TD.
RB Erick Howard: 6 carries for 38 yards.

Army
QB Angel Santiago: 5/9 for 99 yards and 1 TD. 15 carries for 160 yards and 2 TD.
QB Michael Hudson: 2/3 for 24 yards. 5 carries for 12 yards.
RB The Brian Kendrick: 7 carries for 125 yards and 2 TD. 1 catch for 32 yards and 1 TD.
WR Ryan Morgan: 1 carry for 49 yards and 1 TD.

Defensively DT Alan White had 1 Sack. CB Allen Hollins, SS Arthur Scott, and MLB Joel Williams each had 1 INT with Scott returning his 30 yards for a TD.

I'm a little concerned by everyone beating up their opponents big, but then again, I see you guys are performing defensively well. Well, except Cartman who's basically trying to outscore his opponents as always.

What a huge win. I kept getting balls batted down at the line of scrimmage and dropped by my receivers, but I managed to pound them into oblivion. Literally with 373 yards by my lead back, and 3 forced fumbles (1 for a TD) in which Memphis beats down Louisville 69-34.

Two of those forced fumbles came on my 9 and 1 yard line, so if they never happened, this would've been a drastically different ball game, I imagine.

The style of defense I usually play allows for giving up some huge plays here and there but also forces a ton of turnovers, and coupling that with hardly ever turning the ball over offensively it usually leads to blowouts.

Also, after one game, even I'll admit it is harder now. Until my second half adjustment, I only got one stoppage for a punt. The second half, I made my adjustments and did much better.

Seems I've somehow gotten the dreaded "corrupted OD File" error. Namely that it freezes at the coin flip before any game. In Exhibition, Regular Dynasty, etc. the coin flip works fine.

From what I've read online, some have been able to play Home Games (even then, it's dicey) but Away Games are next to impossible. So if necessary, just sim my road games and I'll hope that I can afford to play the Home Games.

At the very least, I'll still recruit week to week and just have to sim every game.

Hopefully it'll only be an issue for this season.

Army Gets Past New Mexico 35-14 Had to reset my PS3 to its default settings but I'm hoping that did the trick. Initially froze twice on me at the coin toss but post resetting it immediately went smooth.

QB Tarean Austin: 19/33 for 306 yards with 2 TD vs. 3 INT. Torched me deep on a couple plays.
WR Myles Daughtry: 6 catches for 81 yards and 1 TD.
WR Aaron Walden: 3 catches for 88 yards and 1 TD.

QB Angel Santiago: 9/19 for 116 yards with 1 TD vs. 1 INT. 19 carries for 91 yards.
RB Brian Kendrick: 17 carries for 208 yards and 4 TD.
WR Todd Vinson: 3 catches for 42 yards and 1 TD.

Defensively I ruled hard. 2 Sacks each by DE Bobby Lyons and DE Jacob Hardy. 1 sack each by LB Lionel Mooney, DE Bryant Coleman, CB Larry Cunningham, and CB Allen Hollins.

LB Jamal Little, CB Ben Francis, and SS Arthur Scott each had 1 INT as well.
