Out of boredom, here's some fun facts to note for Cartman's eventual move to Vanderbilt
Fact 1: Scored 120 and Allowed 358. For comparison, my 7-6 team scored 359 and allowed 363.
Fact 2: They did have 4 close contests. Lost 16-12 to Army, 20-17 in OT vs. South Carolina, 22-17 to Kentucky, and 34-24 to Wake Forest. The combined records of those teams was 25-23 at season's end.
Fact 3: Vanderbilt's QB will be a RS Junior but did throw for 2,299 yards with 10 TD vs. 14 INT.
Fact 4: RB Terry Dunbar, who will be a RS Junior, is explosively fast but struggles to break tackles. Had 25 broken tackles on the year.
Fact 5: His two best WR threats are a pair of RS Juniors next year. Chris Boyd and Jonathan Krause combined for just 692 yards receiving last year. Both are fast but have moderate catching skills and very limited awareness.
Fact 6: He'll have to replace his starting RG and LG, who combined to allow 13 sacks all season.
Fact 7: He'll lose his best Sacker in DT Vance Taylor who finished with 5.5 Sacks and 58 Tackles.
Fact 8: He'll have to replace his best CB in Javon Marshall who had 2 INT and 11 PD.
Fact 9: Marshall and WR Brady Brown, both gone next year, also led the team in KR Average with 20.8 and 21.9. Both also were the main PR guys with both having a 7.2 average.
Needless to say, Cartman definitely has his work cut out for him. A young team (in terms of awareness), several "stars" of the team graduating next year, and a tough schedule don't do any favors.
One positive is they have a heck of a recruiting class coming in. They currently ranked 53rd with 11 players rated 3* and 4 players rated 2*. Loaded up along the defensive line with 4 DT and 2 DE. The one concern is they are still light offensively with only 2 TE, 1 WR, and an OT.
