Yeah, the scheduling mishap got me too as I've still got both FCS games on my schedule. S'all good, just gotta avoid getting upset.

In recruiting news, Blake "The Burner" Turner will be using his B+ speed to haul his 2* ATH ass into the Carrier Dome next year, as he's made a commitment to the Orange. SEC SPEED here I come.

Ok, now I know its on EAs screw up and not mine. I had scheduled oldskool's and I saved the franchise and that was directly after I finished mine, so he definitely had the changes done. Seems like only HQ (fourth person's schedule I finished changing) and I got the exact changes that were intended. Which sucks, because that's not how I intended that to work.

I also got screwed out of talking to a prospect because the online site crashed while I was talking to him, so I wasted 30 minutes for nothing and wasn't even able to schedule his visit. So not using the online site except to find players.

Yeah, it wigged out on me for the last 10 minutes of one of my calls. It beats doing work so I guess I'll stick with it.

And Syracuse clubbered FCS West...they knocked my starting QB out with a sprained elbow in the first quarter so they totally deserved me running up the score & flinging hail maries most of the game.

Baylor took out my starting HB on the first drive of the game, so I had his backup run for over 300 and like 5 TD's. Felt good!

I've talked to HQ about this, but it seems like the CPU half backs are breaking out of tackles that seem like clean hits. Just this past game with John Clay in, I had 7 broken tackles. Now this would be all fine and dandy if it wasn't for the fact that it was 7 broken tackles in the backfield with 2 to 3 guys on him. I've had this now twice in the game and its getting annoying. It would also be great if EA actually counted tackles that didn't work, but still happened on the broken tackles, because John Clay would have 5 times that much.

This also wouldn't be annoying if I wasn't using Conservative gameplan, so you have better wrap ups, therefore he really shouldn't be breaking free so easily. Hell if it wasn't for that, I'm quite sure a new NCAA game record for rushing yards would've been set.

HQ has had the same problem, and it seems that looking through everyone's box scores that everyone's having a run issue problem. Now is it because you are all also having mine and HQ's problem, or is it just bad defense? If its not, I'd like to propose for week 4 to increase the User tackling from 30 to 40.

Conservative tackling is a must. I have been having a very hard time on D because it seems the CPU breaks every tackle...and dont even bother trying for the big hit because they always avoid it.

Pretty lackluster performance by me against Wake Forest. Score looks a little better than it was as I tacked on a touchdown with under 30 seconds to go (first and goal on the 1, I couldn't resist!) as it was tied going into the 4th. No matter what football game I'm playing over the years I will always throw at least one stupid interception a game and I had two in this one along with a fumble inside the five. Now time for a brutal three game road trip against Notre Dame, Oregon, and USC. If I don't come out with a win against the Irish I'm in trouble.

I've had slightly better luck when I strafe to square up for the tackle. At least part of my missed tackle-fest comes because I'm used to NCAA 10 so the slowed-down state of 11 is making me overpursue plays & I end up horribly out of position to do anything but graze them as they go by.

Now that you mention it, the slowed down game has definitely taken a bit to get used to, but I like it. I think we should just keep things as-is for a while as we all adapt to the game and see what happens. I'm more worried about all this talk about the recruits and their progression as we go on.

Alright, if you people think we should hold off I will. Since all games have been played, league has been updated.

Recruits actually are easy to understand.

***** - NFL caliber talent.
**** - NCAA starter talent.
*** - NCAA back up talent.
** - NCAA project talent.
* - NCAA wtf talent.

At least that's the way I see things. Also, I'm happy my game against Oregon State is the game of the week.

??? Ok, how'd you lose to Oregon State, TCU? I mean, Boise slapped them silly 77-17.

Boise's pretty much playing for a National title if the only way they get a challenge is from a team that's clearly better than them.

You shitting me, Boise's already #2?

EDIT: Also, news to me, but we advanced a week. I'm on a bye for week 4, so I'll get through my recruiting hopefully within the next few hours or so.

Yeah apparently those two first games for Boise helped jump them into talk for the title game. I don't think they expected their opponents to be so highly ranked when the season first started, but they are now which is helping them when they beat them.

With the win, its likely Boise will be #1 starting Week 5. In Week 6 they add another high team in Pitt (currently #12) to their ammunition for Bowl title.

In week 1 they managed to sign the following players: **** Holt Willie SS (top 150 prospect), *** Lee Monroe QB, and ** David Hearn HB. While they haven't gotten anyone else, people may want to pay attention to that Week 6 match up, because a lot of their recruits will be showing up for that game and out of the 32 they can go after 21 of those 32 are currently saying they wish to play for Boise so we'll see how many of them end up there.

Oh and oldskool, I mentioned it earlier in the thread, but I guess you probably didn't see it, because all the others agreed on it, but as soon as the last game is finished, I'm updating the dynasty. In this way we can keep chugging along.

I sucked...lol

I've figured the game out quite a bit since I played that game so there won't be any more awful losses like that until I play one of you guys :)

Just so long as everybody's aware of when their bye weeks are & they get their recruiting in ASAP on those weeks, because I'm guessing it just says they're ready to advance due to not having a game regardless of whether they spent any of their recruiting time.

Not a big deal, I'm actually in favor of the quick advancements because a) it means we get farther faster, and b) it means I get to spend more time at work recruiting the more often we advance during the work week.

Hahaha i'm with you there, I love the web based recruiting. I'm a little sad none of my visiting recruits committed this week after a great rival blowout.

Ah, ok. That makes more sense. I was honestly worrying about this match up pretty badly, since I figured it would end up being me vs. you for the National title. Could still happen in another bowl game (assuming I lose), but right now, I don't think you'll be facing me.

With them beating you, I was thinking "aw hell, here's the game in which I get my ass kicked".

Considering its still taking a day for everyone to get through their games, I don't think we need to worry about that. Besides, the default has recruit assistance on, so if you don't get everyone covered, the CPU will aid you (not that greatly, but it is helpful).

Actually I'm kinda shocked we're chugging along so well. Sure we've only got 5 people, but we're chugging along a lot better than the NFL one last year. Hell, with the way we're chugging along, we might actually get a 4-5 season accomplished at this rate.

Also, I'm liking the fact that we're being so quick as well because I get hyped up for my next game and want to get it done really quickly. Hell, I can't wait for Week 5 after I bombed Oregon State back into the abyss.

Cartman, I'm with you on that one. After my blow out this week, if I don't see anyone commit to my team, I'm going to be a sad man, since I've got 21 recruits who love me, so I should have someone sign up this coming week. I probably won't, knowing my luck, but it would be awesome if even at least 1 of them signed.

Oh, and for the record, I've gone through 2 seasons (first simmed) and working on my 3rd in NCAA Dynasty offline mode, and as you continue to win, you'll upgrade your status. I've currently gotten a lot of Boise's ratings up to A+, A and B+. One of the things I didn't think I would ever see is that you can actually change your Pro Prospect status. Most of these have stayed put, so for you guys with weaker teams than me, keep at it and your team will continue to get better. Unfortunately I think Academics and Student life style won't ever change though.

Boston College Accused of Running Up Score
BC Upsets #6 Virginia Tech at Home

Boston College won handily by a score of 59-24 over rival Virginia Tech but it was the last touchdown scored that irked Tech head coach Frank Beamer. "It was uncalled for. The game was over and they should have just ran the ball up the middle," Beamer said. The head coach of the BC Eagles, David Hunter, shot back with his own comment, "It's not my job to lay down on offense. It's not my job to make it easier for their defense. My players are getting game experience whether there is sixty minutes on the clock or one second. If he is that upset, tell his defense to play better."

The touchdown in question was a 29 yard strike from Marscovetra to Donte Elliott with just 14 seconds left. Boston College was already up 52-24 at that point in time and many Virginia Tech fans have already sounded off on message boards across the country accusing head coach David Hunter of being classless, arrogant, and aloof to the concept of sportsmanlike conduct on the field.

The defense was indeed the problem for Virginia Tech as they did not force the Eagles to punt even once during the contest. Constant showers did not slow the aerial attack as quarterback Mike Marscovetra went 29 of 40 for 455 yards with 6 TD. He did throw an interception at the goal line but the Eagles defense came up big with their own interception on the ensuing Hokies drive. Billy Flutie was the wide receiver of choice this game, hauling in 10 passes for 197 yards but did not score a TD. Donte Elliot with 3, Colin Larmond with 2, and Clyde Lee with 1 were the recipients in the end zone.

The running game also stepped up with Montel Harris replacing Sterlin Phifer prior to the game. "I thought Harris had a great week of practice and showed a bit more ability to process the gameplan than Phifer. Both are adept running backs and both will be given opportunities weekly," remarked David Hunter. Harris was given his opportunity and ran with it gaining 122 yards on 23 carries and tacking on 2 TD, many of them coming on the last touchdown drive.

Virginia Tech's struggles centered around penalties, namely 13 for 149 yards including one that negated a long TD pass by Tyrod Taylor at the end of the 2nd quarter as time expired. Taylor was a bright spot going 9 of 14 for 255 yards with 2 TD while running back Ryan Williams ran for 77 yards on 13 carries with 1 TD.

** I added the "run up the score TD" as video clip 5 in the dynasty highlights for the game.

No commits, but I got a lot closer with a lot of my recruits and got some much-needed visits scheduled for the immediate future. Glad that's over.

Looking forward to week 5 and another FCS blowout, this time with recruits aplenty in the Carrier Dome.

I'm there as well. Got a lot of guys in the "green zone" so I'm hoping after pimping them hard that some will sign after the win over Virginia Tech.

I feel kinda bad stealing away Navy recruits during wartime, but fuck if I don't love seeing the points pile up when my B conference prestige matches up against their D.

Syracuse clubbers another FCS team, 70-3. My halfback got a touchdown pass to my fullback, my third string HB got a TD run as the fullback when I made mass substitutions and my backups still lit up the opponents like nobody's business.

Did my recruiting too, since I'm going to be at work all day tomorrow & I'm going out tomorrow night.

Tyler Luttrell and the TCU Horned Frogs dispatched Colorado State 55-10. Luttrell obliterated the Rams QB Klay Kubiak with 8 sacks, one of which forced a fumble. Luttrell is now only 4 sacks away from tying the NCAA record for a single season.

The running game also continued to dominate as Matthew Tucker went for over 200 yards and 2 scores while Ed Wesley added 115 and 3 scores of his own. Next week TCU hosts Wyoming.

*** WR Will Heinz also committed to TCU this week!

After being knocked out of the Heisman trophy listings, I'm not sure how Moore's 25 of 27 performance for 450+ yards and 8 TDs will be received. I would think he would get back in, but stupid voting might keep him out. Broncos killed the Aggies 77-10

I'll get my recruiting (damn EA servers) and game in against Notre Dame sometime this afternoon. Should be a tough game for me though as they are 3-1.

Finished the recruiting online.

Man this was a struggle. It was actually tied at 28 at halftime. Entering the 3rd quarter I was only up 38-28.

Boston College Bringing Back Ireland Trophy
BC Holds On 59-36

It was not a pretty game for the Eagles defense but they were able to get themselves three interceptions and take down the Notre Dame quarterbacks for a total of five sacks. Two each from defensive end Alex Albright and the captain of the defense, middle linebacker Luke Kuechly.

Notre Dame's Armando Allen ran for 120 yards on just 13 carries while quarterback Dayne Crist went 20 of 30 for 439 yards with 2 TD passes. David Hunter had this to say, "They have some great players on offense. We missed tackles, had some communication problems and that resulted in a long day for the defense. But they made plays when they had to and that's all that matters."

While Sterlin Phifer struggled on the ground getting just 32 yards on 14 carries, it was quarterback Mike Marscovetra who had his finest day as a quarterback for the Eagles. He finished the game going 37 of 45 for an astonishing 631 yards and 7 TD but the most impressive statistic was that he did not throw a single interception. "The receivers were just great for me today. I was able to read the coverage and Donte [Elliott] and [Billy] Flutie were right there making the same reads. It made the day a lot easier for me, that's for sure and we got a win. So I'm happy," commented Marscovetra. Donte Elliott was the star receiver snagging 17 catches for 258 yards and scoring 2 touchdowns.

Despite missing a 41 yard try early in the game, kicker Ryan Quigley was able to tack on a 40 yard field goal that helped push the game out of reach for the Eagles.

How many online dynasties can we be in at one time, anyway? I remember hearing something about buying extra slots but I can't find anything on how many slots you start with.
