Last year we had a lot of insanely long email chains going back and forth detailing action, especially the human vs. human games for everyone else. This year, we can just fire up StoryBuilder, put a few pics and the key highlights in and now everyone can see exactly what happened. That is so great that I can barely put it into words.

holy shit, i was about to do that $40 pre-order and found out that at some point last week I apparently donated $5 to "THEWATERPROJECT", meaning making that order would've overdrafted me. it was a total fluke that i decided to check my account before sending the purchase.

This is almost always better than Madden and looks as though this year will be no exception. Kinda blows my mind that NCAA has improved dynasty mode every year while Madden has done little to nothing to improve franchise mode since making the switch to next gen consoles. Online dynasty was a blast last year and with this Dynasty Wire feature it'll be even better this year.

Ok, this definitely makes NCAA a purchase for me over Madden.

Its going to be quite cool being able to put our own recaps of what happened during the game. I also predict that we'll see people who play a game against each other, post up two similar yet different accounts of how that game went.

Shall be fun.

Ok, since NCAA 11 comes out next week. Are we still up for a PS3 online franchise?

So will any of this be available to us that don't play online or will it be the same game as always?

Well the on-field game got a nice overhaul, and the offline dynasty is pretty much the same as online with exception of the new online features.

I've heard about this. I'm not really sure why they are even delaying the shipment to begin with.

Unfortunately, you can't get the franchise stuff if you don't do the online.

However, if you just don't wanna do the online franchise, but still want the features, you can do a single player online franchise and do it that way.

My 360 is not hooked up to the internet.

Just like what I was talking about in that thread I made a few months back. Companies are just pandering to the online crowd and forgetting about those of us that don't get online.

Well, they charge you $10 if you buy the game used & the previous owner used up the online access fee, so you can just buy the game used and save money.

I was pissed that I missed the $40 PS3 pre-order, but now that I see Dell has pushed back the shipping date I don't feel so bad. Haven't decided if I'm going to pre-order a day or two in advance of release or if I'm going to make a run after work Tuesday to try to pick one up from one of the various gaming stores in town or if I'm going to camp out and hope for a sale within the first couple weeks of release.

Ok, so for the online franchise for PS3 (because that's the one I'll be joining) are we all joining as separate teams, or we joining all the same conference or what?

Broward called Texas, I don't remember anybody else calling anything or even discussing the topic.

If you picked a small-time school it's possible you'd go entire seasons without playing against another human, if the bowl bids fell properly.

I'll probably use some small school like UAB. I'm totally fine with not playing against other people until bowl games as i'll probably get stomped.

I also recieved an e-mail from Dell saying my game has shipped and will be delivered tuesday. Nice!

Cool maybe I'll get a similar e-mail soon since I got the dreaded delayed delivery e-mail last night.

And I might entertain the idea of joining a PS3 online dynasty although I've never done one before so can't say if it'd keep my interest or not. I'd recommend people group together in conferences but not necessarily all the same conference. If you get say ten people to sign up no one is going to want to play as a bottom feeder in a conference. Of course if only five or six sign up then one conference could work as long as it's a large conference like the ESS EEE SEE.

Well, the more games we have against one another, the slower we go. It's only a 12 game season (plus conference title games plus the mega bowl week) but there's recruiting every week as well.

I was curious as what we agreed on, cause I thought maybe we had. If we aren't agreeing on any one conference, I want Boise State. I'd take small time Simon Fraser University, but they only play in D-III, so I doubt they'll be available to play.

You know what? Fuck it, I'm broke but I'm still in. Broward, if you read this thread save me a copy. I'll take University of Houston and their weird ass offense.

I wish they had D3 schools I'd pick the team I used to play for, but oh well.

So you can't write news stories or have game recaps? That's the part I was looking at.

My X-Box is not connected to the internet, I would need wireless or a 200 ft cable to do that. Gay. I really hate online gaming and how it's ruining it for those of us that want to play single player.

To those wondering, I'm doing the 360 version. So for those playing ps3, feel free to pick Texas.

CV, come by the store on Monday or even tomorrow (Saturday) to put 5 down on a copy.

Uhm, I'm nearly as anti-ps3 as it gets. I've never gotten the hype for the system and where I work, the people who populate the PS3 market make me want to swallow the business end of a .50cal sniper rifle and pull the trigger.

Guess it'll just be myself and CV since it looks like Leo is going to PS3 as well..

:( Sorry Broward, I'd get the Xbox version, but I'd need to re-up on Live and I just can't justify the costs while being poor.

There was a killer deal on 12 months of XBL not too long ago on Dell.com, I am not sure if they still have it or not.

Broward, you've been playing this game recently. How is it? Can you post some of your thoughts, impressions, etc about this game?

I am still waiting on mine to ship from Dell. Says it is "in production" meaning they haven't even charged my card for the game, and the estimated delivery date is 7/22. So I'm guessing and hoping it'll ship today.

Ok, I bought this because I buy them every year.
But is there any advantage to buying it this year compared to last when you don't touch X-Box Live with a 10 foot pole?
Is it going to be any different of a gaming experience for someone playing single player than any other year? Or will it be the exact same game I played last year with different rosters? Did they even change one thing for those of us that don't get online?
