Patriots signed DT Davon Godchaux to a two-year $21 million contract extension. Per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the deal is worth “up to” $21 million and features $16.5 million in guarantees. Patriots continue to re-sign all their defensive players, largely in the face of what Belichick likely would have done. I can't complain too much as the Pats D was great at times last year but I'm not sold that all of these guys needed to be re-signed and I feel like the Pats could've gotten cheaper options and done more to focus on offense.

Bears signed WR DJ Moore to a four-year, $110 million contract extension. Moore and the Bears agreed to a deal that locks him in for four more years, with $82.6 million guaranteed out of $110 million. Good move for Chicago to lock him up until 2029 with a young QB at the helm, giving him a reliable/consistent WR1 to team with.

The Patriots were rumored earlier to have framework of a deal with the 49ers for Aiyuk, but are now out on the 26-year-old. NBC Sports Bay Area’s Matt Maiocco added that the Patriots were prepared to offer the largest deal among the Aiyuk suitors, over $30 million per year. A bit of a surprising deal as Booth was a 2nd Round pick in 2022 (42nd overall) while Wright was a 3rd Round pick in 2021 for Dallas. Both players had struggled to make much of a dent for their teams in terms of being starters so maybe a new change of scenery will help.

Falcons acquired EDGE Matthew Judon from the Patriots in exchange for a third-round pick. Patriots clearly weren't going to pay Judon (no idea why tbh given the contracts they were giving out to basically every other defensive player on the roster). I feel like they could've gotten a better haul but Judon also just wanted out and the situation would've grown more sour with each week so time for both parties to move on. Possible 1st pick here we come!

Browns signed LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah to a three-year contract extension worth up to $39 million.

Tavon Austin retired after 10 seasons in the NFL. Was the go-to receiver for Geno Smith at West Virginia, memorably taken 7th overall IIRC by Jeff Fisher and promptly busted hard with the Rams while they struggled to really figure out the best way to utilize him. Did have 3 Punt Return TDs in his first 4 seasons though. One of those players that was super exciting in college and never had the right fit/scheme to let him shine the same way in the NFL, unfortunate.
