If they hired him to coach Tannehill or Garoppolo, while attempting to rehabilitate and develop Zach Wilson... probably disaster.
There's a few Jets beat reporters who've made this point, and I don't think it's crazy: Hackett's going to be making more money from his Broncos contract over the next several years than he will as OC of the Jets. Why sign on to be OC for the Jets--traditionally one of the more scrutinized coordinator positions in the league, and quite possibly only a one year gig since Saleh will be on the hot seat--unless he knows what he's getting into, specifically at QB. Seems like a suicide mission without any firm QB plan in place not named Zach Wilson.
