I wish Eddie was against someone else. I'm not a fan of Slade. Dude is incredibly unsafe in the ring. I spoke with a friend who's a ref, and he said that outside the ring he's a very nice guy, but when he gets in the zone, he's very hard to deal with and just doesn't know when to stop and turn off the character. All the other matches sound awesome, though.

Yeah. Eddie can handle himself. I like the legitimate unpredictableness of SLADE's matches. He feels like a combination between Nick Gage and SID.

Anyone following the WrestleQueerdom debacle? So this weird Twitter account @TransGraps decided to book an LGBT super show (in Milford, NH of all places, @Laz !) without really figuring out how they were going to get the money to pay everyone. It's hard to follow. @Big Beard Booty Daddy can probably fill in more but I know it involved said Trans Graps getting their mom to take out a loan to pay for the show and tweeting about watching Veny sleep on her couch.
TSM favorite Kidd Bandit ended up having to pay a lot of the talent themself (even though the promoter owed them 4k).
It's too bad cause it seemed like it was a decent show and a successful LGBT wrestling show in New Hampshire seems like a miracle but it's overshadowed by yet another janky, creepy promoter!

It was a complete mess from the jump. A lot of the talent knew something wasn't right since the person running the show was being incredibly secretive about plans. A few pulled off the show along the way, but most stayed on to see it through.
It's not that she owed Bandit that money from the start, but because they paid many of the wrestlers out of their own pocket, the person running the show now owes Bandit that money. No one is expecting to get paid from this, and as angry as they are, in a weird way, some to be ok with that. There have even been a few saying that since the person running the show is part of the LGBTQIA+ community, they don't want her to be "kicked out" (for lack of a better term) from the community. Others, most, are saying that they should be held 100% accountable for everything that happened. It's a complete mess.

If this promoter was some straight dude, there is little to no chance that any of them would consider working with him again. Some people really are too nice for their own good.
Not to mention how there’s no way a straight dude could get away with tweeting about watching someone sleep!

It's not that they want to work for the promoter again, it's just that they are more open to not exiling them from the LGBTQIA+ community. They aren't even a promoter. They're a fan who wanted to run a show, so they had their mother take out loans since they couldn't afford anything to run the show. No one is going to see a dime from this.

Maybe it’s replaced the Christian wrestling of the ‘00s indie circuit and damn. Maybe people have a point about how the right have turned into the left.

I mean, I think that's the 100% truth a lot of the time nowadays, but in this case it's just another case of a shithead carny fucking with wrestlers. Like always. The moralizing is frustrating if only because angry indie wrestlers can't kick someone out of the LGBT+ community, just refuse to work for or hang out with you. Kid Bandit isn't going to bust into your house and wreck all your LGBT+ shit or out you to your most conservative relatives just because you fucked them out of money. I think this part was naive, socially awkward, and unqualified but I don’t think they were maliciously trying to screw over talent. I think they were just in way way over their heads but that doesn’t mean that they shouldn’t be put on blast anyways.
And it also annoys me how people on all sides immediately jump to extremes. No one (at least no one reasonably minded) thinks someone should be kicked out of the community for being a shitty promoter*. They just shouldn’t be immune from criticism cause they were trying to promote marginalized communities.

Along with shifty promoters there’s always a flip side where experienced workers take advantage of inexperienced, naive promoters. I think this is just a case of a promoter being in way over their head. The vibe I read seems to be “we understand, we’re upset but we’re also never working with this person again.”
