I think they were just expensive and not sold in a lot of stores, Kamala.

I had Little Caesar's for the first time yesterday. A coworker bought a few pies for the team and made sure to save me a couple slices.

It's better than most people give it credit. Better than a lot of the local places, actually.

I had the Batman pizza over the weekend myself, and ....well the pizza part was kinda crap (and yes, is terrible once it got cold) but the calzone end was actually not too bad. Nothing I'd go out of my way to get again but it was an interesting taste blast of whaever that white cheese sauce was in it!

Not to go off topic, but Batman movies have had some other fast food items of note that I enjoyed prior. When I worked my first job, it was at of course McDonalds and I remember some Batman Forever-themed triple cheeseburger on a McRib bun that was actually rather tasty.

My mom has always loved stupid movie fast food restaurant tie-ins. So we of course had all of the Batman Forever glasses from that promotion.

I feel like Taco Bell somehow got the rights to Batman '89. Then early '90s recession hit and McDonalds needed more flare to get people to buy their food so they snatched up the rights for Batman Returns, which they regretted cause Danny DeVito dripping goop out of his mouth doesn't really make people want McDonalds (even if it is a realistic portrayal of a certain phase of their food process!). Rumor and innuendo says that McDonalds was so pissed that they had a huge role in Tim Burton not returning for Batman Forever and series becoming cartoonish.

Then Batman Forever sucked so bad that the fast food rights returned to Taco Bell for Batman & Robin. I feel like they made their cinnamon crisp thingys bat shaped for the Batman movies. Taco Bell didn't really expand much into Maine until the early-mid '00s (and it didn't become a thing in every notable town here until the 2010s) so I missed most of that. It's weird now to think of me getting excited to see Taco Bell on vacation but it's true dammit!

I had those mugs for decades, wish I still did. Two were short and two were tall, I remember that.
We had this one:

I had the one with the Batarang handle. I think that was the most common one. Most of my friends had it too.

I had a Batman & Robin t-shirt that was from Taco Bell. Thought I was so cool wearing it.

My dad still drinks from a plastic Batman Returns McDonalds cup...doesn't seem like it'd be safe to drink from a 30 year old plastic cup but he was raised on a bunch of poverty foods from his parents (cause they were raised during the depression) so I'm sure his immune system is fine.

We had a plastic Batman cup, too, but I couldn't find it in five minutes of Googling
