Most Houses of Pizza in New England serve subs! And Subway had personal pizzas for a while! Also I think Domino's still sells hot subs that make me look a bit queasy just looking at pictures of them when I walk by their restaurants.

I believe they still do.

Let me not forget to remind you niggas about Domino's. Papa John's wouldn't deliver to my hood when I lived in the ghetto.

Try a Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza with onions, extra meat and BBQ sauce. It will change your life.

Domino's gets a bad rap. It's never really been great pizza, even by chain standards but I thought it is sort of unnecessary (although admirable) for them to run commercials talking about how shitty they've been for the past few years. Any argument as to why Pizza Hut, Domino's or Papa John's is the best of that group is p. superfluous. They all taste pretty good when you're fucked up and fairly mediocre if you're not. I think I said it way earlier in the thread but unless it's the really shitty frozen kind you'll find in a high school cafeteria or in the frozen food section for 99 cents, almost all pizza is tasty when compared to 95% of other foods.

Yeah. Once or twice a year, a pan pizza still hits the spot. Plus they're the only major chain to attempt calzones! That's got to be worth something, right?

Domino's new gluten free crust tastes like a potato pancake with pizza toppings on it.

Was this the final straw?

Also of note in recent pizza news around my neighborhood. The sign outside the falafel/shawarma place down the street is advertising "Iraqi Pizza---Coming Soon!" I'd really like a non-joke answer to my question of what the heck is an Iraqi pizza!? Sounds intriguing.

Doing a search on it this is the only one I found of any real info, someone posting a recipe of it on a board http://www.wrongplanet.net/postt35750.html

A chain called Pizza Capers finally opened near home. Up-scale pizzas, pasta, calzone etc. My favourite one so far has to be this Reef and Beef:

Black Angus steak, Cajun bacon, lemon peppered prawns, shallots, onion, capsicum, pizza sauce, mozzarella and hollandaise sauce.

I want that. The hollandaise makes it sound extra delicious.

My little brother started working at a quasi hippie, wood fired pizza place that uses ingredients with no nitrates, no hormones, no antibiotics in the meat, all that jazz. He brought home one with spinach, artichoke and gruyere cheese last night that was like whoa.

It might be because I was drunk but it was easily like a Fave Five Pizza.

It's been a long long while since I've had Uno's Pizza. Last night had an individual Chicago Vlassic, just sausage with cheese and chunky marinara. But damn was it good, with the kind of perfect gooey cheese, and the tomatoes were very sweet. Damn good 'Za

Kamala you strike me as the type that has already tried the Pizza Hut Hot Dog pizza. Thoughts?
I'm trying to not eat like a fat piece of shit at the moment but if it's still around in a month, I'll let you know what I think.

I'm sure this is an unpopular opinion, but I've never been fond of toppings on my pizza. I enjoy BBQ chicken, but if that's what I want, I'll go to a BBQ place and get some. I don't need it on my pizza, and places that pile up 16 different things on them just seem so unnecessary. You should be able to make dough, sauce, and cheese taste good enough.

I'm inclined to agree with you. I am most definitely a purist. I enjoy BBQ chicken pizza and all of that but when you get to that point, it's not really pizza. I measure a pizza place's worth by how well their plain, cheese pizza is. You can have a great chicken Pad Thai pizza, a great taco pizza, whatever, if you can't make a good plain pizza then you're not in my pantheon of GOAT pizza places.

That's a pretty terrible opinion.

Papa John's just opened up back home. I've never had it. Is it worth forgoing my standard weekend Chinese food binge to try it out?
