How does YAMATO/Mochi stack up to YAMATO/SHINGO from Kobe 2013?
Not on the same level for sure but not a lot is. Both guys have slowed down a lot since then (Mochi is 55 now) but they worked around that smartly and the fans were really into it especially the finish. The feeling that Mochi doesn't really have many more title shots left I think added something to it as well.

Gabe Kidd Vs Yota Tsuji, 6/15/25
SHINGO Vs Hirooki Goto, 6/15/25
Drilla Moloney Vs Ishii, 6/23/15

The crowd wasn't the best for 6/15 (thanks EVIL) but it picked up as the matches got to the finish and the guys worked their asses off. Drilla is showing a ton of potential as a heavy and Ishii did a lot here to make him strong.

Men's Casino Gauntlet match for a future AEW World Championship match
Swerve Strickland and Will Ospreay Vs The Young Bucks
"Timeless" Toni Storm (c) vs. Mercedes Moné
Kazuchika Okada (Continental) (with Don Callis) vs. Kenny Omega
Jon Moxley (c) vs. "Hangman" Adam Page

I just finished Takeshita vs Bandido from the ROH show the night before All In and holy shit what a match. These guys put on an epic.

Maybe, it's just my high coming off All In Texas, but there were five matches in two days that I would rank between **** 1/2 and *****. I'm turning into Dave Meltzer. Last 4 matches CWM listed and Bandido/Takeshita are the five matches. Mox/Hangman is legit one of my favorite matches ever on first viewing. Both guys had perfect performances and it was the best match of Jon Moxley's career imo. His selling was incredible throughout.

What a great weekend of wrestling.

Becky Lynch vs. Bayley vs. Lyra Valkyria from the Evolution show (7/13) was a certified banger. I was on the plane during Rhea/Iyo, but it sounded like they were having a classic before the Naomi cash-in.

EDIT: It was!

Yuya Uemura Vs Tanahashi, 8/1/25 (G1 Climax)
Drilla Moloney Vs Takeshita, 8/2/25 (G1 Climax)
Ryohei Oiwa Vs Taichi, 8/3/25 (G1 Climax)
Yota Tsuji Vs Tanahashi, 8/3/25 (G1 Climax)

Takeshita continues to be the Tourny MVP but Tana is having a really fun last G1, the younger guys are putting in a strong showing, Taichi continues to be a blast with his King's Road tribute act, As long as HoT is avoided G1 is still a good time.

Gotcha. I was wondering if it's a case of environment, like how Tozawa looked better during his US excursion in 2010-2011 than he even did back home in DG, or just the talent themselves not agreeing with me.

8/5 G1 Sabre Vs Shingo
8/5 G1 Takeshita Vs Yoshihashi
8/7 G1 Tsuji Vs Finlay
8/7 G1 Oiwa Vs Uemura
8/13 G1 Sabre Vs Yoshihashi
8/14 G1 Playoff Finlay Vs Takeshita
8/14 G1 Playoff Tsuji Vs Shota
8/16 G1 Semis Sabre Vs Takeshita

I haven't actually watched the finals yet and I know the hype is that it's EVIL's best match in years but I feel safe in saying it isn't going to make my cut and that Sabre/Takeshita is going to be "my" finals. Apparently Takeshita got knocked loopy in the match and didn't remember any of it or doing the speech which is amazing considering it was sabre that got brainbustered from the top rope on his head.

Over all the G1 had a lot of solid wrestling and baffling booking choices. Typical modern Gedo.

AEW Forbidden Door
Lights Out Steel Cage match
The Hurt Syndicate vs. Brodido vs. FTR
Kyle Fletcher vs. Hiromu Takahashi
Zack Sabre Jr. (c) vs. Nigel McGuinness
"Hangman" Adam Page vs. MJF

Really everything but the E and C tag team was a lot of fun.

NXT Heatwave - 8/24
Blake Monroe vs. Jordynne Grace
Oba Femi vs. Je'Von Evans

Obviously Forbidden Door was the headliner but NXT is doing some nice things in their own right.

8/29 - Bandido vs Henchicero

Just give Bandido "wrestler of the year" at this point IMO. It's amazing how good he is.

Clash at Paris - 8/31
Sheamus vs. Rusev

I would've mentioned another match, but I'm positive it'd fall into the "everyone loved this match except CXF" category.
