Yo. I hear this is where all the cool kids are at now. Half of what I did at the old board was Rock Band DLC copy pasta, so I guess I can keep that going here. ;D

I own Rock Band 2, but haven't played it in months. Then again, I could say that about many 360 games. School and my new Wii took up my time. But I'd love to rock out with some of you guys.

I have Rock Band 2 but I just have the guitar since the drums would probably be too loud for my apartment full of old people. I only play on Medium as of now, but I usually finish is the 95-98% range. I probably could move up to hard, but I like to play Rock Band to listen to some good tunes and to not necessarily challenge myself too much, or make it too difficult.

Rockband Beatles is the one game that will make me dive back into the Rock Band bin, other then that I really prefer the GH games.

I hope Lego Rock Band can be exported into RB2. I doubt it, but that would be cool to make my potential set list huge.

Wii has limit on file sizes that one can download at once. And is really slow with uploading new content from 3rd parties. Plus all track packs can not be added to the system and all downloaded track packs are having to be done one song at a time, thus making them more expensive. Can't download the IM 12 pack, Foo album, GnR album, PJ album, best of who ect. ect. ect. Thus why RB platform on PS3 and 360 are somewhere around 650 songs and the Wii is around 250.

I don't know how well MSI would carry over. The vocals would be very fun.

Meanwhile, I really enjoyed the Iron Maiden pack that they put out. I wound up downloading "Fear of the Dark" and "Aces High". Good times.

Oh yeah, vocals would be the shit. But the drums would probably be the hardest part.

Just give us "Shut Me Up", "2 Hookers and an 8-Ball", and "Bitches". Frankenstein... is my favorite of their albums, in case you couldn't tell. But the more we get from them (if anything), the better.

Do you realize how censored it'd have to be?

They had to censor the word "Dyke" from Rebel Girl, I can't imagine "homosexual" would cross over well. Bitches? Hmm... Futures might work... oh wait, the whole "My dick's the bomb" part...

Of course most of Frankenstein would be a hit for me, instant buy. Also Stupid MF (but you see the problem), Shut Me Up, Bomb This Track... okay, these guys just curse WAY too much for this game. MAYBE their cover fo Tom Sawyer would be okay. But I would buy entire albums if they DID put out.

You know what album needs to be on Rock Band? the DethAlbum. Better Metal Snake? Awaken? Go Into The Water? Forget about it!

I got the Rise Against pack (really wish they'd done "Audience of One" :(), and "Sweetness & Light" ("De-Luxe" is one of my favourite drum tunes). All pretty cool. Might still pick up the Kings of Leon pack, and Weezer minus the shitty song at some point.

For any Canadians looking on, there's several places with Rock Band 2 band bundles on sale right now:

I got a new 360 kit (my old drums are in a state of despair) at EB for the same $100, and I've seen Wal-Mart mentioned as a possibility at that price as well.

Oh man, I love Electric Six so that's great news that they're gonna have some tracks on RB.

Also psyched about getting to play some Talking Heads as well. Didn't expect to see them on Rock Band anytime soon.

This does mean that I will be forced to out and buy some more points. I've only done it once before and they just went so quickly, there was just too many songs I wanted and before I knew it they were gone.

In celebration of our good friends at Double Fine putting out Brütal Legend on Rocktober 13th we have a 3 pack of tracks from their soundtrack - Motörhead, Tenacious D, and Testament. If you'd like to hear more about the music in Brütal Legend we have a sweet interview with creator Tim Schafer on our brand spanking new bi-weekly podcast which you can find here on our podcast page (there's also an interview with Claudio from Coheed and Cambria!)

“These are three great songs that totally capture the feeling of Brütal Legend. I can’t wait to play them in Rock Band,” said Tim Schafer, founder of Double Fine Productions. “I’ve air-drummed to all of them so many times, I’m sure I’ll be able to beat them on hard mode, no problem. Or at least on medium. Like medium plus. That’s a setting, right?”

But the fun doesn't stop there Because we also have tracks from Black Tide, Blink-182, Joe Satriani, Kansas, and L7. We also have a track from Pearl Jam and one from Foreigner hitting Rock Band: Unplugged.

HAPPY ROCKTOBER!
Sean

Too bad they didn't put "Princes of the Universe" aka The Highlander Theme in the Queen pack. I'd love to see how they put THAT solo in.

Haven't played RB in quite a while. Looks like I'll have to go and start filling up my 120 gig HD.

I'm assuming that the lists that don't have release dates for the Wii aren't going to be released on the machine?

If so, that would suck as there are some damn good songs on those packs.

Pretty sure Wii's about as caught up as it's gonna get, and is getting new releases the same week now.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2008_in_downloadable_songs_for_the_Rock_Band_series

Judging by that, only 7 songs haven't been put out for Wii. Three of those are free songs on XBL/PSN ("Still Alive" being the exception), three are cover versions of Rush & Iron Maiden songs that have been re-released as masters, and the other is "Real World" by The All-American Rejects.
