If I had $2500 to spend on a top of the line performace PC, and then a few hundred every few months or so to constantly replaces parts to keep it top of the line, I'd play more games on a PC. Until that happens I can deal with some glitches once in awhile.

Who is voicing Fun Shaundi? It sounds like Eliza Dushku if she smoked two packs a day.

The SR Wiki says: Jennifer Jules Hart

I had my first freeze/lock-up this morning. It was the Ben King rescue mission. Right after I finished it it just froze on the SR4 logo loading screen.. and of course none of it saved. ARGH.

The amount of references in this game.. sheer amazeballs. I loved the red/blue thing and the Asha mission (mentioned above) is fucking great. "Don't they have a light switch?"

The only freeze I have had so far involves that timer on the mayhem missions that gets to :01 second and just hangs there forever. Eventually it caused a freeze during a mayhem mission.

I love that freeze, it's allowed me to get gold on Mayhems more than once giving me time to run over and stomp some stuff.

I had to cover a graveshift at work, which is a housing program so I have to stay awake, so the individuals don't run away, so I took my 360 and finished it off this morning... I was marking out bro. The end went by quick as I was planning to do all the Homies side missions to fill stuff out, but I tend to just wrack shit as I go along. "Oh a side mission, I'ma do that for a bit" and when it's just lists of "Go do these set activities," I had all of them done.

Some of the little mission blurbs make me giggle, I can't recall at what point, but it was a Mark mission "We are trying to extend gameplay, come back to the ship and see me"

Also glad to hear RVD back voicing "Bobby" during the Genki mini-game commentary. Apparently Chris Daniels also voices the host of one of the radio stations.. not sure which one yet, though.

Finally got a chance to start it. Quite the opening. Almost as good as 3, but I will not look at Aerosmith the same way again. Or a Michael Bay movie.

The Classic station is great simply because the news lady from The Third occasionally comes on and reads lines from Shakespeare with the host.

And it took me a bit to realize all the pedestrians start dancing if you shoot the Dubstep Gun.

I got distracted by the side missions and just now finally got to the point where I can switch between worlds. I think the "eh, main story line can wait for another few minutes" point was when I got my super powers and started jumping around looking for the clusters. At cache level 14 with maxxed out (as much as I can at this level) sprint, leap, and frost. Think I'm going to have to start leveling up my weapons. The shootouts at the hotspots are taking to long and using up too much ammo.

I finished it today with all the collectables grabbed. The ending is amazing.

The only thing I have left is challenges. I hate challenges.

I take it the game keeps going after the story ends? Or do you need to do all the side missions and grab all of the collectibles before finishing?

You can finish the game (I'm assuming) without doing all the side stuff if you just stick to the main missions, I did all the side missions, but not the collectibles and I can go back in and go for the Gold in the missions and get the rest of my collectibles

Finished it with 100% side missions and collectibles. While it's painfully obvious that this game is just an expansion to The Third, I think I had more fun with it than entirety of the Third itself (not to say that that game wasn't great - loved it too).

Working steadily through it, and much like my Mass Effect runs, I'm doing every mission I can find instead of running through the main story line. So far, Asha's recruitment mission might be my favorite (pretty fun send up Metal Gear, esp. when the alarmed guards have the "WTF?" over their heads), and your pickup line on her is my favorite too.

Over a million copies sold over the first week: http://www.joystiq.com/2013/08/28/saints-row-4-sells-over-one-million-copies-in-first-week/

Definitely in for a sequel, I'd say!

The ending mission felt a little flat to me as it was just them throwing a whole bunch of enemies at you all at once. Worth it for the one final awesome use of music at the very end.

Top 5 of the year for me easily, even before playing GTA or Watch Dogs.

I'm only five hours in but so far: shotgun is a one-shot kill for any hit above mid-torso, the cash I spent on lengthening my stamina bar was completely wasted and only now do I realize how spoiled I've become re: auto-regenerating health.

I've been fooling about with the 360 version. Can't complain about any technical issues. But the game is far too easy once you have your powers upgraded.

Found it used for $30 on Craigslist. Couldn't help myself. Done a couple missions and will dive in on Labor Day.

Probably the most fun 20 hours I've put into a game in years. My only regret is that it may have ruined all the other games in the series. I mean once you've sprinted, jumped and flown across the map with simple button presses, can you really go back to walking, driving or attempting to control aircraft?

I'm just a couple hours in. Once the super sprint comes in I find myself without any reason to drive again.

I also have ln need for guns once the super strength has been upgraded. Ironic that the GTA clone has now become what many would like from a superhero game.
