I guess they mean simultaneous sign-ins of different accounts on the same console.. Though I am not sure why anyone would need or want that. PS3 defintiely supports multiple accounts on the same console though (only one can be signed in at a time).

This is not entirely true.

When me and my roomate play Black Ops 2 online, we each have our own account active. Like, he signs in as himself, then when I join the game, it gives me the option to play as guest OR sign in under my own PSN account. Which I do.

It means that on the Xbox, each controller port is bound to (or can be bound to) an Xbox Live user/account.

On the PlayStation, only one person can be signed in at a time.

With an exception.

Some games allow multiple PSN sign ins. This is on a per game basis, and not on the OS level.

Yeah, from what I read about it, it's an overheating of a component and it can be fixed rather painlessly (if you have the right tools/supplies/soddering ability.)

I bought FF8 and FF Tactics due to the sale last night.

.....I can't believe I haven't had a PS3 before now.

Asked this a couple weeks ago, but never got a response. Figured I would try again. After installing a new HDD in my PS3 a couple of months ago, I had to redownload my digital Little Big Planet and Infamous. I have them downloaded, but whenever I try to install them to the system, I get a message saying "This content can be used on a PSP System. Do you want to copy it to a PSP System?"!?!?!?! Well, no, because they are PS3 games. The problem is if I select no, it just takes me back to the PS3 crossbar and asks the same question again. Does anyone have any idea what I am doing wrong? Even if I hit "triangle" and select the install option, I get the same message.

Are you sure you have the files for PS3 and not the PSP? I know LBP is on the PSP and I don't inFamous is but check to see if it's the PS3 version.

There's no Infamous game for the PSP, plus I assume he's talking about the game he got from Playstation Plus.

Have you tried deleting them and redownloading them, Nymyzys? If that doesn't work then I guess your only other option is to contact customer support.

Yea, I've deleted and redownloaded them each a couple of times. I got them as part of the PSN Welcome Back package a couple Summers ago after the PSN hack happened. I don't know if that has something to do with them not wanting to install correctly or what. I had them installed previously, but like I said, when I installed my new HDD, that's when I encountered the problem. I have several other digital games installed, so I figure it's not a matter of something being wrong with the HDD. I guess I'll have to contact customer service unless someone here comes up with a better plan. Thanks for the help anyway everyone!

That got it! Only problem is thanks to living in the middle of butt-fuck-nowhere, we have throttled satellite internet. So, I'm going to have to wait until I can take my system to my friend's house again to finish the downloads. Can't thank you enough!

I've only played FF8 once. I figured I'd give it another try....mainly because I want to play the card game again. I was going to download FF7 but I played that game so much back in the day, I just have no interest in doing it again.

I really enjoyed the card game in FF8. My weak spot for the game was on the first disc where you go train-hopping. I always found it hard to keep going from there.

Once you leave Midgard, FF7 really picks up some speed. There's just so many cutscenes and conversations during the opening parts of the game for the obligatory character development that it gets really tedious.

Yes! Love the analog sticks. That's one thing the 360 controller always did better IMO. Dont have to worry so much about your thumbs slipping out.

I'm glad they also kept the sticks on the same level. One thing that bothers me about 360 controllers, aside from the size, was how the sticks were not aligned with eachother.

Xbox controllers used to bug me for the same reason, but after using one for a bit, I actually find the position of the sticks very comfortable.

Now, the reason I came in to this thread: If you cancel your PSplus membership, then join again later, do you have to re-download free games? Like, I think I have some free ones on there that are no longer free; would I lose the ability to play those games? Or would they simply stay on the system, just locked unless you delete them or sign up again?
