But then Voices of Wrestling cold called ROH PBP guy Ian Riccaboni on his cellphone while he was eating dinner with his family to try to get him to be on their podcast then he gently called them out on it so here we are.

Brett Lauderdale HAS to be trolling people with his commentary team choices. You know it's bad when your own talent is shitting on how bad the commentary team is (in a non kayfabe way).

It all started when Tony posted a Mountain Dew meme, then Funches called him out for stealing it, which Tony never claimed he made it he just posted it. Tony is a great guy, has no issues with any talent, and Funches goes after him? This isn’t the first time he’s gotten into it with a wrestler on Twitter.

In all seriousness, at this point he's probably the best indy wrestler who frequents my area. Seen him twice, going for three tonight. Even from my untrained eyes his talent is obvious.

I wasn't super impressed the first time I saw him three years ago and sort of wrote him off as an indie geek weirdo. I even had a "oh man. Here's this asshole!" reaction when he first showed up in Beyond Wrestling but more I watched him, the more I realized he's the rare if not only example I can think of of a guy successfully utilizing his geekiness to his advantage to become a genuinely enjoyable nasty heel. A lot of guys try to do it but Tony manages to pull it off. He just reminds me of the weird wiry scrub you make fun of that ends up paintbrushing you to the floor.

This isn’t the first time Funche has had a run in with an indie wrestler. He had one a few months back, but I can’t remember who it was. He ended up deleting all his comments because the backlash he got was pretty big.

Only other Twitter argument I remember him having with a wrestler was with Hurricane over WWE being racist but I feel like Funches was in the right one.

For the guy who's comedy persona is based on gentle, fun loving nerd. He's really coming across as a dick to wrestling Twitter. To defend my stand up brother though, it's really hard not to be a dick sometimes with Wrestling Twitter.
