Internet bubble (and Epic living in her district or at least near it?) has us grossly overestimating AOC’s popularity.

She should probably set her sights on becoming a US Senator or Governor of New York before she has Oval Office aspirations.

I am more surprised she didn’t primary Kristen Gillibrand (who doesn’t seem especially well liked) for Senator than go for POTUS this year.

I think AOC has been defending Biden, not running for president this year.

There is no need to be senator or governor before running for president in this country again. More important credentials to American voters now are placement in the WWE hall of fame and how many seasons of the Celebrity Apprentice acted out on NBC.

I do currently live in AOC's district and honestly, I've met just as many people who like her than those that don't. Granted, a lot of their criticisms boil down to her being a woman, a POC, and generally smug so what do they know.

I wish she was more effective in her role because I'd give her my vote. Her smugness is earned on a morality level, IMO, and her ability to keep things Socratic during hearings with a target is solid.
