There is a 33-33 5th set going on, and Federer is kind of struggling again. Someone else is watching Wimbledon, yeah?

I saw that superlong set going on and all I could think was how lucky the person that faces them in the next round is. They must be absolutely knackered after that shit.

People have already advanced to the third round, and these 2 guys can't even get out of the first round.

The fact that it's Isner's giant, uncoordinated ass and some random, whiny Frenchman only makes it better. I actually prefer this than it being two relevant players.

I really wish I could watch this, because its insane just taking a look at the replays. There was one time Isner had the guy down 40-0 and had break point, and the Frenchman nailed 3 aces in a row to bring it back to even steven.

Its going to be funny, because I bet after this match is finished, everything else is gonna pale in comparison.

You seriously do not want to watch this. Not only will it take you a whole day, but other than the novelty of it being long, it's pretty bad tennis.

This. I must've gotten about a dozen texts today asking if I watched the match. I watched from after the US game until about 36-36. I told my wife we may as well change the channel because it ain't ending for awhile. I want to know what the percentage of points in this 5th sets has had more than 3 shots?

I would like to see a cap at majors, make it 15-15 because if guys have had 8 chances to break a serve, they need to get it to a TB to finish. Now its just like playing the card game WAR.

It hasn't been that awful of tennis.. just because you can't break someone's serve doesn't necessarily mean it's terrible tennis. It's not exactly Federer/Nadal out there, but there's been some great shots and considering they played for 7 hours straight, it was pretty entertaining.

I will defer to you because I did not see as many games, but besides the great drop shot/reaction volley/volley winner by Isner and a couple of good points at 15-40 and 30-40 by Mahut to hold it was mostly serve, return into net, wide, weak return, winner.

I was suggesting at work tonight that both men are only allowed one racquet in their bag tomorrow!

So Isner gets bounced in straight sets, and hopefully the pundits regain their sanity about him.

That being said, the Isner/Mahut match has brought more mainstream attention to Wimbledon and tennis as a whole than I recall in years, so good on them or that, at least.

Never would have imagined a guy that plays 200 games in one match would get rocked in straight sets in the next match..; if only there was some sort of correlation between the two.

There is: a really good player wouldn't have gone to nearly 200 games with a qualifier.

I don't think anyone thinks Isner is a 'really good player'. At least anyone that's sane.

Listen to ESPNs booth during any given slam (before he's bounced, that is).

Now that Henin/Clijsters is over and Querrey is about 60 seconds away from getting straight-set'ed by Murray, can Pam Shriver please shut the fuck up?

Also, Lu Yen-Hsun just blew a mini-break advantage and an opportunity to beat Roddick in 4 sets.
