But I remember going from Pittsburgh to Colorado (?)—Summer to Autumn, I think—starting in the woods near the river, and having to re-load my shit. You'd figure even with that major cutscene where they slept overnight, you'd want to take a minute of rest to have all of your weapons at their best.
Just finished the game. Gut-punch of an ending, making you question Joel as a character.
It looked to me that Ellie knew Joel was lying to her about the fireflies not looking for a cure anymore, however on some forums people have said there was a recording in the hospital somewhere that did indeed state there was 12 subjects with "immunity" tested before and all the tests failed.
EDIT: after further research it looks like that recording was recording to past patients that were infected, where as Ellie is a carrier of the virus but not infected. So yes, Joel full-on lied to her.
The finale in the hospital definitely felt more Uncharted-shootout-esque, especially once you got a hold of an assault rifle. Not that I'm complaining, but just the tone felt different than the rest of the game.
The scene in the operating room, how did everyone go about that? I only killed the head surgeon, some people killed everyone, others say you can get Ellie w/o killing any of 'em.
This article is pretty good regarding coming to terms with the end of The Last of Us
getting past that part without killing any of the doctors. Not doable. You have to at least take out the scalpel wielding surgeon.
I'm on my third playthrough. Doing it in survivor mode. It's not that difficult, you just have to be smart and patient. Shivs are super rare in this mode though, which can be a bitch when you find one of those locked rooms and don't have a shiv to use.
Since the single play DLC came out yesterday, figured it was about time to bump the thread. I'm only about 45 minutes into it. Pretty fun so far. Story acts like a prologue to the main campaign.
If there is any game to blow a double dip on it is probably this, still not sure if I am going to do it, but since I traded the PS3 game in I didn't get a chance to play either of the single player DLC's (the second one is on the way) so if both are included in the price that might convince me to do it.
I really liked the crafting system and the bow and fuckin' arrow. I plan on double dipping for the PS4 version for sure (I also traded in the PS3 version) mainly for multi-player but also for the DLC I missed.
