I know I'm late to the game on this one. I've never been a big Eminem fan and thought Relapse wasn't that great. I decided to give Recovery a chance, and I'm loving the hell out of it.

Check out the eminem show and the 8 mile sdtk. for more of his music thats most like recovery.

Neither the Eminem Show or 8 Mile soundtrack are a fucking thing like Recovery. Recovery is saccharine pop bullshit.

No it's really not. I like it for what is.

If you are going to get into Eminem you have to at least get the Marshall Mathers LP.

I'll be honest, I didn't really like the Eminem Show when it came out (still has some good tracks) and Encore was so bad it took me almost 6 years to really get into Eminem again.

I had his first couple of albums, with the exception of Infinite. I wasn't too into his attitude and that turned me off from him. Well, that and I just to be big into ICP.

The thing I like about this album is he doesn't do any of his stupid voices. It's just him, straightforward.

On a first listen The Appeal is good for the first seven tracks, then gets boring but ends on a good note with Grown Man.

I guess my friend is higher as hell right now because he's sending me a message a minute right now on facebook of different youtube links of Katt Williams rap songs and freestyles. There's one video from that wild n out nick cannon shitty show where Katt sons Kanye West and then rips into Wayne Brady for like 30 seconds. Since I don't pay attention to actors or comedians getting involved in music this is all kind of a shock to me.

Just doing shows. People pick at him for that Internet following, but its enough fans that he can headline a show somewhere and make his 4-8 thousand. If you just do shows CONSTANTLY, he is going to be paid.

I know he is no millionare, but that dude should be break 150k a year pretty easily. And since he dosent have a diamond encrusted, plate sized button around his neck or 16 cars, he probably is saving pretty well.

the BET cypher was so disappointing. Royce da 5'9 and Kuniva were great, Diamond...sweety...I would do nasty things to you, but you just proved why Ms. Minaj is so popular right now and chicks like you are annoying as hell. I have never seen someone look so...BORED. Tiga...yeah...next year just send Drake or Niki Cash Money execs.

BET Cypher 2010 (Part 5) Royce Da 5'9" , Tyga , Kuniva (D12) , Diamond (Crime Mob) (HQ) (SGC)

There was nothing okay about any part of this. Cube sucked, his kids sucked, Run sucked, his kids sucked...I think Diggy had the best verse....stop and absorb that for a second....

Yeah...

BET Cypher 2010 (Part 2) Ice Cube , OMG , DoughBoy , Rev Run , Diggy Simmons, Jo-Jo (HQ) (SGC)

Sigh....thank you Yella Wolf. Don't get me wrong, I will support him because he is from Alabama, but I see the whole fake eninem thing going on, but I have to appreciate him for having a pretty damn impressive verse here. Oh, and I have this long living hate of Bones Brigante. Then he walked up there with a belt and I hated that fucker even more, but his verse was nice. Wiz was fucking garbage. Rae? Really? Stay the fuck home next time.

BET Cypher 2010 (Part 1) - Wiz Khalifa , Bones Brigante , Yelawolf , Raekwon The Chef (HQ) (SGC)

THANK YOU GENTLEMEN! Everyone had a nice verse, and I was more than a little disappointing that Busta didn't rhyme. THIS is what the cypher should be like. I had to listen to Mickey Factz verse again because I was laughing the first time thinking about Royce Da' 5'9" talking about his skinny jeans.

BET Cypher 2010 (Part 3) Busta Rhymes, Reek Da Villain, Zawcain, Mickey Factz (HQ) (SGC)

AND another great one. Kanye kinda annoyed me in the first part but his verse was nice. Big Sean was amazing...to bad Drake has messed up his career. Seriously, why did the monotone asshole have to come out first. But seriously, you couldn't go wrong with a verse on this. Common and Cyhi started off slow, but picked it up, and remember back when the clipse didn't suck? Yeah, Pusha T reminded me of that time.

BET Cypher 2010 (Part 4) "G.O.O.D" Kanye West , Pusha T , Big Sean , Cyhi The Prynce , Common (SGC)

Yelawolf is nothing like Eminem.

you mean besides his voice, flow and Masta Ace influenced rhyming style, right? Cause yeah...its all pretty much Infinate Eminem all over again.

He doesn't flow or sound like him. He sounds like a southern artist with his on unique touch that really doesn't sound like anyone else. If he weren't white, you wouldn't think of Eminem.

the hell are you listening to? He sounds exactly like him in ems earlier stuff...the pre "my name is" stuff.

if he weren't white I would say he sounds like eminem. Shit, eminem sounded like masta ace so I compred yela to the relevant one. It has noting to do with his color. Sometimes people sound like other people.

Creek Water, Stereo, Trunk Muzik. I don't get any Eminem vibe from those. Maybe when he does freestyles I guess.

I see. You were misunderstanding me. He generally sounds nothing like him. But in this natioanlly televised, bigger expose freestyle, he jumped his voice two octaves and rapped what sounded like an old eminem verse. It was a good verse but he cleary wanted people to think eminem when they heard him. That was nothing short of a eminem impression.

Yes. He was a great lyricist, freestyler, and live performer for those that might have missed out. Pretty sad story.
