You told me to go listen to a clearly superior rapper....oooohhhhhh SHIT SON!!!

But no...like...seroiusly? Gucci?

Just curious, do you guys like his other ilk like OJ da Juiceman and Wacka Flocka too? I mean, its really a serious question because the only people I have ever met that really REALLY own and like their music is strippers, and thats mostly because of the beats. I would just like for someone to explain to me the appeal, because I listened to that and heard trash.

I used to like OJ but haven't listened to him in a while and Flocka is good. His CD is pretty decent.

Okay, but is it more of a nice production thing with you too or are we talking rapping talent and lyrics here? I guess that the question I am asking.

I mean, its no different from my No LImit fan days, but I still only liked Mystical, Fiend, and Mia X then and they were clearer the best wrappers of the group. Oh...and Mac...before he started shooting people.

OJ is really bad, but endearingly so sometimes. Waka does his thing and does it well. Fans of Joe Budden and that whole Slaughterhouse/empty technique/SO MANY MULTIS style of rapping calling Gucci/Waka/Lil B/et al talentless is basically the same thing as prog-nerds in the late 70s blasting the Sex Pistols for being idiotic and simplistic.

I think Gucci is pretty funny and has a good flow sometimes. When he's bad, he's pretty terrible. Otherwise he's kinda charming and goofy at the same time.

I don't think he has the best most complex lyrics of all time. I just like the content.

Don't get me wrong. Joe Budden is 20 times better than Gucci.

And that's BS about Budden, byron. Dude doesn't write empty lyrics at all. He's probably the most emo rapper out there.

You know, I get that some people dislike lil wayne, but that 6'7" song, there are enough lines to just be impressed by to make 5-6 songs.

real g's move in silence like lasagna? WHAT!! That is just a nice line.

I threw the a capellas for "Mr. Carter" and "Barry Bonds" over beats I'd made and they turned out pretty well. Even better because the one for "Mr. Carter" was homemade and Jigga's shitty verse didn't work, so I got to toss it. Win-win, baby.

BTW, ah shit..

http://blog.therealtechn9ne.com/2011/02/techn9cian-miscellaneous/tech-n9ne-and-yelawolf-in-the-studio-video/

We’ve been talking about Tech N9ne and Yelawolf working in the studio together for some time now. Finally, we have some video footage to prove it. As you may already know, Tech is teaming up with some of the dopest tongues in the game – Yelawolf, Twista and Busta Rhymes – for “Worldwide Choppers.” The track is sure to be fire. Get caught up on what Tech was working on in Atlanta last week, and get a feel for what you can expect on All 6s and 7s. Click here to watch the Yelawolf and Tech N9ne video on XXLMag.com or check it out below. Keep a look out for a bottle of KC’s own Gates Bar-BQ sauce!

I never thought the guy would be so close to "mainstream" when he's getting ready to turn 40. I mean he had a sit down with Wayne cause Wayne wants to work with him and that's mind blowing.

He's also going to do something with Eminem. Tech N9ne as a businessman has made some great decisions.

Relevant to my interests: If you guys absolutely had to drop 2, maybe 3 songs from The Black Album, which would you pick? And if you honestly can't imagine any of them being gone, tell me. It'll help a lot.
