For those that haven’t figured out what’s going on yet I will tell you. Leon has control of the Treasury because he will move all of our money away from federal departments, agencies and the treasury and put it into the new Sovereign Wealth Fund. That Fund is not regulated by Congress. There is no congressional oversight. Only the president and anyone he appoints can release those funds. He is effectively taking away Congress’s power, and that includes the Republicans in Congress, too. They will have nothing to do, and he is effectively neutering them.

As expected he's planning on shuttering the DoE. Is it legal to do it through an EO? Not really. But if no one stops him, does it matter?
As a Canadian, I don’t understand why the USA even needs a National/Federal Department of Education to begin with. Canada doesn’t have one, and everything seems to work relatively well. Shouldn’t running the schools be the job of the individual States or more importantly local school boards?

Not content with merely Katamari-ing up Greenland, Canada, and the Panama Canal, Trump now wants the US to take over the Gaza Strip, clean it out & turn it into the "Riviera of the Middle East", which will bring peace to the entire Middle East. What about the Palestinians who live there? He'll just get some other countries to take them all in.

Are half your providences run by crazy people who will shadow ban science in the name of the the Biblical truth?

Bryce Mitchell will be the Arkansas Education Czar.

If dude had a brain, he'd just send the deported US citizens over to rebuild Gaza into the skatepark or whatever.

My contempt for the non and third party voter grows by the hour.

"The second: that Gaza's entire population would relocate to other countries. " We should go to other countries of interest with humanitarian hearts, and there are many of them that want to do this, and build various domains that will ultimately be occupied by the 1.8 million Palestinians living in Gaza, ending the death and destruction and, frankly, bad luck," he said."

lol... I'm sure the Palestinians would love to do that on top of multiple countries taking them all in.

… Trump nominated right-wing podcaster Sean Parnell to be Pete Hegseth’s Chief Pentagon Spokesperson and Asst. Sec Def. Trump endorsed Parnell for Senate in PA in 2022, but he dropped out of the race when he lost custody of his children after his wife testified in court that Parnell abused her and their children by choking her and pinning her down, and also struck one of their children in a fit of rage.

They grifted the public so hard in the first term, so much shit no one talked about. Now it's just out in the open. Fuckin' ol' Smitty and the boys down in the holler who voted for this probably still think these fuckers care about them.

If there's 1 thing I know about the Middle East, and I'm sure history will back me up, it's that the USA overtly meddling has only produced positive outcomes. I'm sure we'll be greeted as liberators for forcibly displacing 2M Palestinians in favor of building luxury hotels & casinos. Lasting peace is at hand!

"A source familiar with Trump’s thinking said the president is getting “angry” that more people are not being deported and that the message is being passed along to "border czar" Tom Homan, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller and acting ICE Director Caleb Vitello.

A source familiar with internal conversations at ICE said Homan has a daily conference call with ICE agents in which he has been known to express his frustration with ICE numbers.

Meanwhile at ICE, Vitello told agents in January to aim to meet a daily quota of 1,200-1,400 arrests. According to numbers ICE has posted on X, the highest single day total since Trump was inaugurated was just 1,100, and the number has fallen since that day. On Tuesday of this week, arrests of immigrants were over 800, according to a source familiar with the numbers. But last weekend, there were only about 300 arrests, another source told NBC News."
