Oh yeah and I remember seeing Ben Savage on an episode of one of those crime shows, I marked out a little.
Don't worry, Matt. That episode is actually banned from syndication.Mattdefcom said:Damn. That means I missed the honeymoon episode with Topanga parading around in some tame, TGIF-approved lingerie.

The show was pretty much retooled in the 2nd season. Minkus disappeared and was never mentioned again until the episode where Cory, Shawn and Topanga graduated high school. The black kid and the other white kid who hung out with Cory and Shawn disappeared too, but unlike Minkus, they were never mentioned ever again for the rest of the show's run. We were now supposed to believe that Shawn and Cory were the only friends the both of them had ever had, despite seeing otherwise. Topanga was changed from a hippie child to someone who had been friends with Cory since they were babies, even though in the 1st season, Cory and Shawn acted like they were disgusted by her (although, this was explained later on that that was because Eric had told Cory that girls had cooties, and thus, he couldn't be friends with them). Topanga also became an intelligent bookworm out of nowhere too.

Actually, Family Matters was the worst when it came to that shit. They randomly got rid of the one that became a porn star, Richie, the Grandma, Aunt Rachel, switched Harriets for no good reason for the last half season.

Kung Kamala said:Didn't Harriet 1 quit because she was sick of all of the "wacky Urkel" storylines? Not a misguided protest but kind of odd timing considering the series was on its deathbed. Hariet 2 only did 7 or 8 episodes...and she looked nothing like Harriet 1 other then the fact they were both middle aged black women.

Reassuring to know SKBF is still in fine form.Ed Wood Caulfield said:Oh! I almost forgot that Eric was the voice of Ron Stoppable on Kim Possible (also starring Christy Carlson Romano (a.k.a. the kid from Even Stevens who isn't Shia LaBeouf) and the voice of Bart Simpson as Rufus the naked mole rat!), which was a huge hit on The Disney Channel, so that counts for something, I guess. He also got to bang Jennifer Love Hewitt for a short time too.
Kung Kamala said:You know that idea had to have came up in the Family Matters writers room.
Yeah, I didn't know she died until like 3 years after it happened. She was also kinda old too, about 8 years older than her peers (e.g., Steve, Laura, Eddie).HaVoC said:I forgot the actress who played Myra (Urkel's girlfriend) died. I actually thought that was an urban legend for the longest time.

Usually, wrestling is a punchline to how dumb a character is, but on Boy Meets World, the wrestlers were characters themselves, and wrestling itself wasn't treated as a *total* joke.
Yep.. they had an entire episode devoted to Cory trying to make it to a wrestling match at MSG (despite living in Philly...)_ which pisses off Topanga cos she has a prom dance or something.
I think you're thinking of the one where Cory along with Shawn & Ethan Suplee are trying to be in Vader's corner for his match with Jake Roberts at the Spectrum while also switching to go to Topanga's Sweet 16 party.

Yeah. In every single appearance, they were played by different actors. They couldn't even keep the same actors for a 2-parter! Seriously, in part 1 of the episode where Topanga's parents get a divorce, Michael McKean plays Topanga's dad. In part 2, Topanga's dad is played by a completely different actor. Annette O'Toole plays Topanga's mother in part 1, but Marcia Cross plays her in part 2.
