I started over from the Vault, Overseer still dead in my case. I read online that you can still do that quest later on with the Overseer dead.

Now that I know what I'm doing it's going much smoother. I love this game.

I'm hoping I can finish it by the time Dragon Age Origins comes out but it's not looking promising.

Ah, you can do it. Got 2 weeks before DA:O comes out. Just don't waste time. Now if you want to do EVERYTHING that might involve some caffeine fueled all nighters, but it's possible.

I'm getting Brutal Legend and Borderlands this week. Between those and starting my new job, that should give me plenty to do before Dragon Age.

Earlier versions of Fallout 3 glitched if you killed the Overseer if i remember correctly.

Edit: Is the GOTY edition DLC on a seperate disk?

I believe so, and you just save it on to your HD.

I've noticed that one of the achievements is to kill all the Behemoths. How many are there? I've killed two. The one at Galaxy News Radio in the beginning of the game and one at Evergreen Mills.

There are 5. Here are the locations courtesy of the xbox360achievements.org achievement guide:

1. GNR building story related during the mission “following in his Footsteps.
map picture- http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e77/Folvex/GNRBEHEMOTH.jpg

2. This one is easily found in the basement of the Capital Building in a Dome room with rebels and robots going all out on it.
map picture- http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e77/Folvex/capitalbehemoth.jpg

3. This one is found outside of Takoma Industrial and can be easily seen and killed by pressing the switch on the top of a truck that activates bomb coming down on him from afar.
map picture- http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e77/Folvex/TAKOMABEHEMOTH.jpg

4. Head to Evergreen Mills and outside in the huge area is a cage with this one locked inside. I recommend killing it while it’s in the cage or shoot the generator next to it to let it out and fight it face to face.

5. This one can be found outside of Jury Metro, to activate him walk around till you see train tracks and a turned over dumpster with a teddy bear inside a locked cage, open the cage and grab the bear and turn around to watch it charging at you.

#4 definitely wasn't in the cage by the time I got there. Nevermind having to deal with 15-20 raiders at the same time. Luckily the behemoths are stupid and run in the same patterns over and over again.

There's something cool and creepy about those strange 40s/50s LP songs, had the same feeling when playing Bioshock.

It's probably just the contrast of hearing this idealistic, happy go lucky music from the 40's and 50's while you are knee deep in a shit storm that you are facing. The music seems so happy that you know something is going to go badly.

Is there a better weapons/armor haul than "You Gotta Shoot Em In the Head"?

I chose to take all the keys and go and get the armor myself... pretty much the entire bunker is filled with useful ammo and weapons and once you get into the room with the T51-b armor, there is also a Fat Man and three mini nukes in the room.

I had about 2000 caps worth of stuff to sell ON TOP of the the armor and Fat Man/nukes, which I kept.

Question: I was thinking of installing disc 2 when I got to level 20 so I can keep leveling up, but I'm wondering if maybe I should do it sooner. Main quest wise: I'm level 15 and am only on the part where I need to go to Vault 87 and find the G.E.C.K... I have been too busy doing the side quests. Is there any benefit to installing the DLC sooner (like now maybe?)?

A big drawback (IMO) is that the tougher enemies tend to easily overwhelm NPC's who aren't in enclosed towns like Megaton. For example, upon fast traveling to Canterbury Commons, I usually have to quickly gun down a nearby Deathclaw before he can kill any of the townsfolk (since I prefer having them around to trade with and I haven't completed the Superhuman Gambit), then IMMEDIATELY run to the front of the town to make sure none of the caravans that I've invested hundreds of caps in (and consequently have some of the best inventories, cap reserves and repair skills in the game) are taken down by albino radscorpions. I've heard of several different quests tied to at-risk settlements becoming broken because essential characters are killed by hostile creatures and/or Enclave troops.

I added the content... went with "Into the Pitt" first. My audible sigh when I had to get rid of all my weapons and be a slave didn't set the right tone for the quest. I'm hoping it doesn't suck as hard as I think it will.

2 months and 60 hours later I'm finally done with this. I could still keep going... I didn't get all of the accomplishments, but by the end I just wanted it to be over.

I think I'll be ready to play Fallout again by the time Fallout 4 comes out.

Aye its a very filling game, but its slightly disappointing that the DLC was so hit and miss. Doubt we'll see anymore now until a new Fallout comes out.

Well, 5 DLC packs is nothing to sneeze at. And thanks to people sharing the discs, I got the first 4 DLC packs for $10 total. I still need to play all but Operation Anchorage.

Operation Anchorage sucked.

Great game overall though. One of the rare games that kept me interested enough to keep playing it until I finished it. Hell...I just finished COD 4 and COD WAW YESTERDAY so that i could not finish MW 2 until next year.

I picked it back up and played a little the other day. Am I the only one that doesn't give a damn about any of the NPCs? I think they're more trouble than they're worth, so I either don't bother getting them, or else get them and let them die.

I found Charon fairly effective, once I stuck him into the best power armor.

If nothing else though, I found companions were handy just for carrying some of your shit around.

Charon was nice cause he was just a ghoul with a gun. Nice backup. Dogmeat's the only one I actually cared about, because hey, dogs! You really don't need any of them to succeed in the game, and it becomes a lot harder to keep them alive once you install Broken Steel.

Haha, same! After I was level 30 I would just run ahead and let Fawkes kill everything. He got surrounded by about 8-10 Feral Ghoul Reavers once and I was like, oh shit...better help him out. By the time I get over there most of them are dead and he's still got about 85% of his health.

Little tank.

It was hard for me to kill off Fawkes, god knows I tried. Eventually, I pushed him off the edge of the bridge with the town on it.

I got this at Target for $10. Just started playing. Which add on is the one that stops the game from ending and increases the level cap? I want to get that one first.
