It really is amazing how someone can look so damn scary 99% of the time, yet be just a giant teddy bear. I was able to meet Suzuki when he came to NY with GCW a few weeks back, and I brought my daughter, who loves him. She has a Minoru Suzuki bear, and when he saw it, he got the biggest smile on his face. I'm not sure he'd seen it before, but he loved it. He was playing with my daughter with it. He came off a the sweetest person ever. He also signed it, happily.

I gotta disagree with that "Warriors-Demolition six man matches were dumb" take.

Sort of made sense at the time, but Warrior probably should have had a world title match vs XYZ instead of being bundled into a tag match where he had no skin in the game (that I can recall) outside of sharing the roided/painted Warrior look/gimmick.

I'd have to dig in the old WONs (and 1990s are not online IIRC) to see if maybe Warrior/Savage was suppose to be around the loop or something, depending on when Savage was dinged up during this period. Useless Moron Scott Keith should have reviews of them up.
(BTW @Kamala The Simp you didn't warn me SK had switched blogs at the end of summer. I thought maybe his heart exploded when I saw no new updates to his old one I had bookmarked. Odd that the last post isn't an alert to readers to find his new home.)

Dusty had moved on to Dibiase, minus giving Macho another win over him at SNME.

Warrior had singles matches at the SNMEs on either side of the six man tag at Ocobertfest, vs Rude to set up (poorly booked, imo, not on the workers) Summerslam and then DiBiase the night after Survivor Series. After Thanksgiving he got some more singles stuff, more story-driven, but it was too late by then after how badly the first half of his run was booked. I still have a hunch that Hogan talked McMahon into some of that booking.

Any interaction between LOD and Demolition was cool by me and those matches had Ax in them. You could've painted up anyone for team LOD and it wouldn't have made a difference in my mind however Warrior made those feel extra important. From a kid's perspective that whole scenario is just really cool.
