In a way, yes. It's basically the Attitude Era mode done with the WrestleMania theme instead. I'm OK with this as the Attitude Era mode was fun as hell

The Attitude Era mode was fun for the first couple of matches, until you realized you were no longer playing it like a wrestling game, and were just going through the motions to check off the objectives boxes.

If anyone wants to post in here about WCW Nitro, ECW Hardcore Revolution, ECW Anarchy Rulz, WCW Mayhem or that last WCW game, we might be able to use it with your permission. I'm an AKI Man, myself, so I don't have too much experience with the above titles.

The best parts about the ECW games were the ripoff themes used in them and the opening video montage for Anarchy Rulz. The graphics were shit, the engine outdated, and the controls terrible. Every possible flaw in Acclaim's Warzone/Attitude engine were amplified due to its slow pacing, completely missing the point of ECW's "feel" compared to WCW and the WWF.

Spike Dudley, all 5'5" of him, was able to look directly into the eyes of the 6'6" Mike Awesome.

Fuck those games.

Was there a reason why Warzone and Attitude got releases a month earlier on Playstation?

I was a huge ECW fanboy so I was able to find enjoyment out of Hardcore Revolution. But yeah, it was pretty bad. I loved some of the one liners the wrestlers would say during matches, and there were a lot of cool moves despite them being difficult to execute. The barbed wire matches were fun too. That's back when fans were really blood thirsty, so at least that set it apart from other wrestling games at the time, as bad as it was.

Both winners of 2K Sports' alternate cover art contest for WWE 2K14 featured Daniel Bryan in their entries, the developer announced today. The winners, Mike Rodriguez of Corona, CA and Alexis Zankowitch of Saint-Martin-le-Vinoux, France will see their art appear as an insert on the inside of every copy of the game in their respective regions. The cover art on the front of every box features Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

I like the catapult finisher deal. How long has that running superkick been in these games? It never looks like it connects to the face. I know these guys are going to keep recycling move animations, but there are a few that could use tweaking. At least they put some effort into Ryback though. Although he'd be on the bottom of the people I'd want to use if I had this.
