Re: Wrestling Games 2014

LOL you have to get the season pass to get one of the top diva characters? Ridiculous. Then again, I never even used the divas for anything, so to me they are just wasted spots.

Re: Wrestling Games 2014

When the game was announced, I figured pre-ordering would be a no brainer but having a PS3, the fact that there doesn't seem to be much of a legends roster (outside of Hogan & Sting) and no real info on gameplay improvements, I may have to pass for the time being.

It probably never helped that most of the games didn't allow inter-gender matches and the majority of the Divas roster was terrible with everybody using hair-pulling and the ever-dreaded "running hip attack."

Apparently the revealed roster is only about 2/3 of the actual roster. Supposed to be a bunch more (including Legends) announced soon.

Re: Wrestling Games 2014

I'm kind of surprised / concerned that last gen launch is 2 weeks away and current gen is a month away and they haven't done their yearly entrance / finishers preview. It seems odd.

I also have a PS4 now so I think I'm just going to download the game. Digital media, wave of the future.

Re: Wrestling Games 2014

Hmm. That's a good point but I haven't actually given anything back since Funcoland in 1998 (which is actually kind of why I like the idea of reducing clutter of physical things). Maybe I'll just go to Amazon... I just liked the digital version can still be upgraded with Hogan DLC.

Yeah, since I had some Amazon gift cash burning a hole in my pocket, I went ahead and bought the PS3 version. I'm just telling myself as long as there are two-counts, I'll be happy.

I hadnt traded anything in since the PS2 era, and i had a massive clearout about a month ago. Between DVDs, Blu Rays and games i made about £700. God knows how much the cost of everything was when originally purchased.

Re: Wrestling Games 2014

That Warrior pack sounds pretty good. Curious to see their take on the SNME and MSG arenas.

Re: Wrestling Games 2014

He was the GM at the time of the roster determination.

WCW and Path of the Warrior sound great although I am bummed Sid is demoted to in-game model referee from SummerSlam 91. Hoping it will end up like the Perfect deal from last year.

Never thought I'd see Colonel Mustafa in a video game, that's for sure.

I sure as hell hope SOMEONE is getting this on PS3 so I have time to work out if it's a dud before I pre-order for PS4 to get Sting.

Re: Wrestling Games 2014

Is that anything we haven't seen before? Apart from the Wyatt's full entrances.

Glimpse a non-WM6 (finally) Warrior at the end.

Don't even care it's non-WM6, just happy he doesn't have a colossal dome of hair on his head.

That's what I meant, though. The WM6 Warrior always has that dumb dome hair look going on. :p

Those graphics are pretty damn incredible. Good to see Title belts don't look like magic floating hoola hoops anymore.

Re: Wrestling Games 2014

There is a NXT mode on last generation consoles. The best part is the boss of the mode is SUPER CENA using similar AI to Taker's beat the streak mode last year.

Last-gen version gets a 5.9 from IGN. Now I guess the question is how many of the issues are also going to be in the current gen version.

Yeah, the reviews out there sound pretty grim. Glad I was able to cancel my Amazon pre-order in time.

Re: Wrestling Games 2014

Pretty bizarre and inexcusable for them to be cutting features for what is essentially a re-skinned version of 2K14 for last gen consoles. I'll reserve my judgment for the next gen version, though.
