WWF Ruthless Aggression (2002- 2008)

#2 and #7 aren't bad, but it just further illustrates the point that the nWo shouldn't have ever been reunited in WWE at all. If they were going to do it anyway, they should've just had the three of them show up and say "we did it for you Vince, where's our paycheck?"

For me, I'll always remember the only good thing about Ruthless Aggression and that is The SmackDown! Six.

I remember that. They were bringing in some legends on Heat for The Con Man to beat. I think Greg Valentine had a match on a 2005 Heat episode as well.

They were starting to give the older guys more of a shot again in 05/06 like when they rehired Henry Godwinn, Flash Funk, Tatanka, etc. Still can't believe they did nothing with Scorpio when they rehired him. It's kind of funny that these "older" guys in 2005/06 are the same age or younger than a lot of current stars in both WWE and AEW.

Edit:

Nice reminder of how much Coach stunk as a heel announcer too. He didn't have the voice for announcing. So damn nasily and irritating.

Hiring Godwinn is still the coolest thing HHH has done. A rare showing of appreciation to one of the guys who helped him in his run.

Never using Scorpio pissed me off. At the very least, when he's clean, he has value in development.

Conway is underrated but I hated him at the time. I'm glad he's getting the recognition he deserves as LA Knight.

I always loved Scorpio's twisting splash, the one that was like a mid-air cartwheel into a moonsault. I don't know why, but that always stood out the most to me.

1997 missed out on Scorpio and D-Lo as a team. 2006 too, for that matter. Feels so right.

That's not always how writing works. Sometimes it is...like Caro's biography of LBJ. Caro's a fantastic writer, LBJ was a human cartoon character, and a wildly important life so those 4k pages so far are a joy to read. But Coolidge had reverse charisma but Amity Schlaes wrote great stuff about him and his era.

If Solomon or another good one does it, I'd prefer a Stephanie biography over any of the McMahons. I'd like to read Shane's perspective on his craziest bumps but that's not sustainable for 2 or 300 pages. Linda's would be dreadful. I don't want to know more about Vince.

Maybe Balukijan is ankling for the job!
