WWE Superstars – October 24, 2013

WWE Superstars – 10/24/2013

Fandango’s music fills the arena and Mrs. Fandango, Summer Rae, is dancing her way ringside.

Alex Riley and Tom Phillips discuss the upcoming Hell in a Cell Pay Per View and transition to discussing Fandango/Summer Rae being announced as DLC for the upcoming WWE 2K14.

Justin Gabriel is out next and we hear all his daredevil interests again, while also skimming by his three reigns as Tag Team Champion.

Fandango vs. Justin Gabriel

Gabriel gets a near fall out the gates off a move that isn’t really caught on camera.  Gabriel gets an early advantage and starts howling.  Fandango briefly cowers in the corner, only enough to trick Gabriel into getting knocked to the outside.

Fandango hurts Gabriel on the outside, takes his time to pose for the crowd and still gets Gabriel back in the ring to break the ten count.

Fandango stretches Gabriel while we hear all about the DLC of WWE 2K14.  A-Ry talks about his WWE game collection and Phillips questions if he has No Mercy.  They let all the nerds on TV now.

Gabriel tries to take control of the match and uses some of his agility to break free of an Irish Whip.  Gabriel manages a Stinger Splash and hits another move on Fandango for the two count.

A frustrated Justin positions Fandango near the ropes, only to miss a springboard move.  Fandango nails Gabriel in the ribs and ascends the top to connect with his Leg Drop finish very early on.

Winner: Fandango

Summer is excited, she gives Fandango a kiss on the cheek.

Following a replay, Fandango is seen waving and making his way to the back with Summer Rae.

Scheduled next is the recap of The Authority’s Reaction on RAW to the results of the previous week’s Tag Title match.

The segment is recapped in a five minute block.

The Heyman Clan versus Punk/Langston segment from RAW is re-aired.  This transitions directly into the John Cena Tribute video.

The Axel-Langston match for the Pre-show is advertised.

R-Truth comes dancing his way to the ring.  Truth is 4-0 on Superstars since these recaps started in May.  Will he be able to keep his streak alive?

His opponent is Mr. Money in the Bank, Damien Sandow.  While often losing on the main shows, Sandow also stands at 4-0 in my standings.

Interesting…

Sandow starts telling the crowd how he has tried helping them for the past year and a half.  He states starting tonight he starts worrying about the only person who is important, Damien Sandow.

Truth looks unhappy in the ring and he also looks to have gotten some new tattoos.

Damien Sandow vs. R-Truth

Truth starts his what up shouting and we get a look of an angry looking white child going along with it.  Diversity.

Truth locks up Sandow with a chinlock and tosses him around the ring to start.

Sandow whips away R-Truth before ramming him into the corner and taking control of the match.

The referee stops him from stomping the former United States Champion the corner, which allows Truth to take advantage once more.  Truth drops Sandow for a quick two count.

Truth works on the arm of Damien only to get whipped.  Truth stops himself in the ropes, gyrates and frustrates the Intellectual Savior into a tizzy.

Truth is able to ground Sandow for a slap and a leg drop but that only gets two on Mr. Money in the Bank.

I get a little distracted as A-Ry talks about taking one in the face…

Sandow is up choking Truth in the ropes and strangely the commentary is clearly dubbed over to go to commercial break.

Back to action, Sandow is in control as the crowd chants R-Truth’s name.  Truth uses this to break free, but a knee to the gut downs him once more.

Sandow pounds away, enforcing the aggressive streak the announcers have discussed.

Sandow does his side Russian leg sweep on Truth and goes for the Elbow of Disdain.  Two count, as always.

Sandow begins dropping a few knees to the back before doing leg scissors around the waist of Truth.  Truth fights free but Sandow beats him to his feet.  The two exchange blows while Sandow hammers away before dropping Truth hard for another two count.

Sandow shouts “YOU’RE WELCOME” and suplexes Truth for another two count.  Another pin, another two count.

Sandow locks his arms around the waist of the Suntan Superman again as Truth tries to break free.  Truth gains momentum and completely takes over following a big kick to the face.  Truth drives Sandow face-first to the mat.  Another two count.

Sandow tries to come back but Truth is back in it, axe kick, only two!

Truth cannot believe the kickout from Damien, as Mr. Money in the Bank continues to rally.  Both men exchange whips before Damien can do his Full Nelson Slam, which I guess has been renamed to You’re Welcome.

Winner: Damien Sandow

The announcers ask if Sandow will cash in his briefcase at Hell in a Cell.  Good thing five people watch this show.

Advertised next, a recap of the WWE Championship Contract Signing.

The replay begins with Shawn Michaels stating his intentions and finishes with the end of RAW to draw another episode of Superstars to a close.
