You probably know better than anyone @King Kamala but anyone I know that had an interest in being a comic in real life was often pretty problematic in one way or another. That’s why whenever people asked me if I ever considered doing stand up, I almost took it offensively at times...Horrible fact of the matter from almost a decade in comedy is that comedy attracts a lot of little Trumps and their sycophants
I think a lot of people are like that in high school and maybe early college. Whether they grow out of it or let it shape their personality is another matter altogether. Hell, some of us on this board were inappropriate and insensitive 12-15 years ago and while we still aren't a bunch of softies we also grew up and matured. One of my best friends from when I was a teenager into my late 20s was a giant O&A fan. He was the type of person who had no social awareness. He would often make inappropriate and insensitive comments towards people and situations and would always make scenes out in public just to get lulz. He always thought he was the smartest person in the room and actively tried to bring down those around him. He would show us O&A clips which we also laughed off as jokes back then but it's pretty clear that's where he crafted his personality from. Someone who hides behind "free speech" and enjoys bringing people down to his level just to get a reaction. We eventually smartened up and dropped him years ago. He's active on Twitter (he follows me while I don't follow him) and judging from the few tweets I've seen of his, not much has changed. Sad.

Update: The owner of Stand Up NY (which Seth Simons criticized for hosting a bunch of indoor comedy shows under the guise of "weddings", which are allowed by New York State) and the Compound Media chuds are putting on a comedy festival in Seth Simons' hometown in Idaho. The Comedy Industry Has a Big Alt-Right Problem
