We were all around when Bush won twice. How is Trump winning surprising?

Bush at least had experience. Here we had a rich white guy say "I'm gonna run for President and say a bunch of horrible things" and a bunch of the electorate saying "Cool, I'll go with that."

This pretty much proves that in this country, if you're rich and white you can do anything you want if you play to the lowest common denominator.

I know people didn't like Hillary, but Jesus Christ what the fuck?

I'm entirely flabbergasted that you guys may have actually voted Trump into office. I just... Wow.

As I think I mentioned before, the American Voter is a remarkably dumb beast.

Trump looks the heavy favorite in Wisconsin. That would end it. Fuck this country

So who's going to get the blame in March when Trump hasn't dropped unemployment to 0% by March?

A BBC reporter apparently found a guy who voted not for his favorite candidate, but for what he was against.

This is Brexit all over again.

While Bush's re-election puzzled me at the time. (Stay the course!) His election in 2000, I thought he actually ran a good campaign pushing the new "compassionate conservative" message. That and Gore being a stiff, boring dude I guess?

Kotz's feelings describe mine, there's so much anger that I want to unleash but there's no point. Time to adapt to this Trumpian world.

Bernie would have won, but that kind attitude on the left is what fucked us. The regressive left in 2016 shitting on bernie for being an old white guy, acting like HIllary and Trump are the same, etc. They took over the mainstream conversation, pissed off a lot of people, republicans just did what they always did and voted.

Hopefully this gets us to stop listening to those dipshits on Twitter, and to start paying attention to what's actually going on in this country. There is no possible safe space in a country where Donald Trump is President, so they might as well listen too.

WITH ALLL THAT BEING SAID

I still think Hillary can win, based off of the fact that my dealer said Trump would win, and he's usually wrong about this stuff. That's all I got sorry.

It should have been Biden but he never had a chance with Hillary in the primaries. The DNC backed the wrong establishment candidate.

Trump is closing in Pennsylvania now. This is insane. There is a chance Hillary could have won Florida and still lost. Think about that.

My point is, the DNC fucked themselves by backing the less exciting candidate. It's like they forgot Obama ever existed. And yeah, Bernie lost, but he could have won with a DNC backing him up 100% or at least not backing up Hillary 100%.

I agree. Now these younger liberals are going to see what its like to live in a completely controlled Republican country. They were still too young during the Bush years and came of age in Obama's America. Maybe someone should have brought back Puffy's Vote or Die campaign.

Yeah, the worst thing about it is that the DNC was totally in Hillary's pocket, not the least bit impartial, and actively worked against him. Blame them for backing the wrong horse, not those of us who supported Sanders

As much as I dislike Hillary I'm still hoping for a miracle here

What's stunning about this, even if she pulls it out, is the complete invalidity of all data related to the election. It's not just polling error or demographic error; it's drastically beyond that. I must already know all the good white people.
