Some of you will read that article and note that I didn't get a single quote, even one given anonymously, from her "allies". To which I respond by asking why do you hate and fear such a strong #girlboss?

Does anyone besides aged Republicans actually say things like "woke," etc?

Yeah, sure seems like just another in that long trail of bullshit like "cancel culture," etc. And, yeah, I know younger republicans go along with it too.

There's centrists and even a smattering of liberals and galaxy brained leftists who I've seen talk about wokeness/cancel culture unironically too. But yeah it's mostly dumb conservatives, of course.

Thing is cancel culture, for lack of a better term (sorry snuffy) has existed for at least 100 years in some shape or another. Today's cancel culture is just the '90s PC culture rebranded.

Oh, I get that the actual thing is and has been happening for a long time. It's just that it seems to be, and has always been, Republicans as the ones actually doing it, and always for the worst of reasons. In the cases of advertisers bailing on horrible, rapey people it always just ends up being flailing attempts to rationalize the original bad behaviors.

50/50 probably. there are people who really believe that government shouldn't be telling people what to do like that (unless abortion!) and there are people who are taking advantage of the situation.

Also keep in mind that a lot of these Republicans have to balance being for their people and the insanity of the GOPers/Trumpers to try and keep themselves relevant/maintain their seats so like CWM said, I think it's a little 50/50.
