This is all true. But, again, what can the Democrats do about that? I'm reminded of WrestleMania 4, when Monsoon pointed out that Strike Force wouldn't be able to beat Demolition, the same way that they beat the Hart Foundation. That's essentially what we're dealing with, here: GOP tactics won't work against Democrats, because Democrats have too diverse a coalition, who wouldn't collectively stand for GOP tactics, and so Manchin knows that anything they'd threaten him with would, at best, be a bluff.

I'm failing to see what Joe Manchin's endgame is. From what @Dandy posted a few weeks, it seems unlikely that he'll get reelected and I can definitely get why he doesn't go along with the left wing of the Ds cause that means he definitely won't get reelected. But nobody but nobody likes an obstructionist/lone wolf.

I feel like one of the only reasons Susan Collins last year (besides, once again, the Democrat Party's incompetency) is that she was able to point to a number of bills that she was able to get passed. Can Manchin say the same? Idk. I don't watch enough CSPAN (does anybody?)

Also, IMO it is so easy for someone to assassinate someone else in DC that I wouldn’t get out period. And I really hate this guy and don’t like defending him.
