I went to Combat Fights Unlimited on Sunday for Masha Slamovich vs. Jordan Blade 2. I'm sure I've said it before but no one else is running a style like CFU's that I'm aware of. Shoot style promotion with mostly female workers. Erica Torres, the former La Reina de Corazones has done some MMA and she looked legitimate working that style. Masha/Blade was great. Kilynn King/Aliss Ink was excellent, I think that was Ink's first US booking. And I got trash talked by Julius Smokes. Worth checking out whenever it drops, probably on IWTV.

Awesome yet dumb fantasy booking thread cross post. I'd be down for a meta, mid card angle with Cardona in AEW. People complain about AEW having too many titles? Bring in the annoying heel whose gimmick is complaining about having too many titles!

Santana is a weird choice though. Aren't they both heels? Eh, I guess it's New York and it doesn't really matter. There's something oddly fitting about obnoxious Long Island bro Vs angry Puerto Rican from the Lower East Side. Feud works for HOG but it'd definitely inspire some "Huh?" reactions if they tried to crossover to AEW.

Tweak it a bit though and do Eddie Kingston murdering Matt Cardona to collect some more belts on his quest to the AEW World Title? Now that I'd be down for!

I think Cardona has been great for the last few years but he's still significantly damaged goods to me. It isn't fair. He got buried so hard that as much as I enjoy him I don't know if I want him in a major promotion.

If you have IWTV then LVAC events are always worthwhile. Went to Steelstacks II in Bethlehem last weekend. We got Speedball Bailey vs LSG, a banger. The main event was good fun with Sidney Bakabella's antics and a Chuck Taylor cameo. And Puf/Jeff Cannonball vs. Brandon Kirk/Lucky 13 where you get deathmatch guys working a semi-normal match.

If you deep dive in northeast Indies, the Lost Boys are going to make some noise in the next few years.
