Colorado didn't show much different that they showed last year. They beat NDSU 31-26 but had to have Sanders throw for 445 on 34 passes (with talent clearly superior to NDU's defense) while NDSU's QB Cam Miller was ripping them to shreds through the air by mostly not targeting Travis Hunter's area.

Colorado is going to be in for another tough year if their defense can't stop the pass, they struggle to run the ball, and need Sanders to win shootouts with his throwing arm against defenses that will have better physical talent in the coming weeks.

Nice to know it took 2 weeks for Florida State to prove they are frauds and that pre-season rankings are still bullshit.

Also let's fucking go Boston College!

Even though they don’t play football, Gonzaga going to the PAC-12
Apparently Gonzaga hasn't played football since 1941 but I'd dig them trying to create/field a football team tbh. I'm always in support of more football teams.

"To meet the minimum requirements for a conference in the NCAA, the Pac-12 needs eight programs with football programs. They reached six earlier this month by adding Boise State, Fresno State, San Diego State, and Colorado State to the remaining members post-realignment in Oregon State and Washington State."

Pac-12 is now reportedly targeting UNLV and Utah State: https://www.deseret.com/sports/2024...c-utah-state-gonzaga-air-force-mountain-west/

"Perhaps as a precursor to Monday’s announcement by the four AAC schools, ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported that “The Mountain West is amid a significant push to keep its core of eight schools together,” and as part of that, the conference is planning on giving each of those schools large, one-time payments of guaranteed money.

Thamel reported that the money would come from the “more than $120 million” in exit fees it will be getting from Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State and San Diego State.

“The Mountain West is being aggressive in guaranteeing money, knowing that any decision about the Pac-12 would be based on projected numbers,” Thamel reported. “Part of the MWC pitch is that they’d guarantee no schools take a step back in media distribution, and they’d avoid exit fees.”

Under the radar crazy story going on at UNLV between them and their starting QB: https://footballscoop.com/news/unlv...-distancing-themselves-from-matthew-sluka-nil

“When I had the conversation with the offensive assistant who was doing Matt’s recruitment, we talked about a number north of $100,000 to $150,000,” Cromartie said. “This was a number that I was told would be given to Matt to come there.”

More CHAOS as Kentucky beat #6 Ole Miss. Arizona beat #10 Utah.

Ashton Jeanty won't win it but he has a legitimate Heisman case. Ran for 259 and 4 more TDs in the win over Washington State.

North Dakota dropped 72 on Murray State for its most points scored since 1928! Western Illinois beat DII McKendree 49-32 to break a 27 game losing streak.

Vandy beat Alabama in one of the biggest upsets maybe in history

"The Commodores hadn't scored over 20 points against Alabama in a single game since a 36–26 loss in Tuscaloosa in 1996—a drought of 11 straight games. The 40 points they scored Saturday were the most against Alabama since a 78–0 blowout win on Oct. 20, 1906."

More chaos in the FBS as Washington beat #10 Michigan and #11 USC lost to Minnesota. Georgia Tech also handed Duke its first loss of the year.

Multiple ACC schools & several Big 10 schools should get ranked this week. Texas Tech at 5-1 (3-0 in conference) will likely get ranked. Liberty at 4-0 & Sam Houston State at 5-1 may get outside looks.

TIL: DIII (because there are so many New England schools) is host to Merchant Marines, MIT, Tufts, Mass Maritime, Framingham State, and Fitchburg State for football. There are also entire Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, Ohio, Southern Cal, and Wisconsin conferences.

FCS Recap

- Yale beat Central Connecticut 23-22. RB Josh Pitsenberger ran for 127 and 1 TD.

Ohio State/Oregon was a hell of a game. Awful job by the QB to simply lose track of the time he had available (HC/OC should've done a quick pass and told him to throw as soon as he got the snap) and is another reason why the scrambler isn't always better since he ran and wasted precious time to even get a FG try.
