Oh, one other thing with Toni Storm. At some point, they have to bring in Wendi Richter to pay off that running gag of Toni randomly calling her out, right?

Also: I don’t know what happened to Thunder Rosa, but that run-in was a mess. She looked like she had no idea what she was doing.

Apparently Ford and Bayne were supposed to cower and run away when Rosa hit the ring and they stood there making her look like an idiot. That doesn't explain why Rosa entered the ring so awkwardly though.

Because she was expecting them to leave the ring and didn’t know how to proceed with them just standing there like wet sacks of shit.

No idea who formatted and produced that but they shouldn’t haven’t that job anymore.

I get it should have been produced, and went over better beforehand. But, as a performer in the wrestling business how do you not know you're supposed to cower and run away when a babyface hits the ring with a chair?

Maybe Penelope and Megan weren't fans growing up, but still. Like, how fucking stupid do you have to be to not get that concept?

Idk, just reading it (haven't watched Dynamite yet) and Rosa's like a foot shorter than Bayne and even with a chair, would look silly chasing her away. Like Sid running away from Spike Dudley coming in with a chair.

Then you have Penelope run out of the ring pulling Bayne with her just as Rosa hits the ring. Bayne can do a staredown from the floor or ramp while Rosa holds fort in the ring with the chair.

That is super basic wrestling school level shit. Anyone who can't grasp that shouldn't be on AEW tv.

Playing Devil's advocate here, but then the segment should have been either Rosa cracking her with the chair to send them running or Rosa catching a beatdown, too. Ford also no-sold Rosa, and started talking shit right to her face.

Either have Rosa come out to check on Statlander empty-handed and the referee gets between them or Rosa clears the ring. Now all three are seen by fans, whether they like the company or not, thinking they're all fucking stupid.

And now they're talking about the silly angle after the match and not that sweet, sweet release F5 of Bayne's.

I'm watching Dynamite/Collision and aside from The Death Riders, AEW has been entertaining from top to bottom lately. Hangman/MJF, Toni/Mariah, Omega and Ospreay vs The Callis Family, Swerve/Ricochet, etc are amazing programs. You got a great mix of styles and talent. The lucha guys they have now like Kommander, Bandido, Mortos, and Hologram makes it easy to forget The Lucha Bros imo. And they've been using the big guys like Bill, Lashley, and Hobbs really well. They've made some genuine female stars like Mariah May and Harley Cameron over the last year. They also continue to showcase the Puro guys like Takeshita. The variety of the roster is insane.

I see some hardcores starting to become lukewarm to WWE, so maybe AEW could overtake them with the hardcore fan again if they keep up the momentum. The booking, matches, and tv overall has been on fire except Death Riders. Christian is also stale now sadly. I'm just waiting for that final Edge and Christian tag run.

Honestly, watching AEW on Max this year has revitalized my love for wrestling. Something so random like Gabe Kidd vs The Butcher is made for me.

Not that simple, unfortunately. Max has 3 tiers: Basic, Standard and Premium. Sports will be available on Standard and Premium, but not Basic.

The WBD Associate Director of Live Events, who is involved with AEW content, confirmed on Bluesky that you’ll have to be on Standard or Premium to get AEW stuff after March 30.

As someone with a free Basic plan right now, this sucks.

Dunno how that show came off on TV but live I thought it was fucking great. The six man tag was miles better than I expected and shows the value of how much a really good trio can carry their opponents. The only thing that really didn't come off as intended was the tag match. The finish didn't look good.

The only really bad thing about the venue was that it's only 2 miles from the ocean, it was foggy at the ocean when I came in there at 3:30 PM, so the fog rolled in once it got dark and I could hardly see anything for my first few miles home. Driving down I-5 to San Diego is the ultimate though. 10/10 drive.

Lelya Hirsch (remember her?) has concluded her contract with AEW/ROH and will be moving on.

Takeshita stopping OC from doing the stunner the second time was btw one of the most impressive spots I've seen live. And that covers a lot of ground, I've been to a million shows. He fuckin dead lifted him.

It looked like they were building something with her, and then she got hurt, and then TK moved on to a new toy. SMH

Switching gears, has Aaron Solo ever done anything, anywhere? What's the signature Aaron Solo run, and in what promotion? Because, TTBOMK, the only thing I know him for is fumbling Bayley.

When did they ever push/build Hirsh? she was an ROH level enhancement talent.

AEW gets credit for finally making me interested in lucha. I've tried a few times over the years and there's obviously been some stuff I liked but it's never clicked. The CMLL guys AEW have used though are great and I watched all the shows that BCC did in CMLL and I'm trying to wathc more.

Leyla suffered from getting hurt at the worst time, and it kinda was a case of shiny new toys but they probably brought in 10-15 different women while she was injured. It was a bad time to get injured
