The reaction looks to be universally negative
How does Vale get to ignore mods and I can’t?

Reaction to this was really predictable. AEW fans defended, it fueled the haters, was disliked by the vast majority of the IWC, and casual fans probably barely cared.

Now that they have shown it, I genuinely hope we never ever have to hear about it again on TV. Honestly, I agree with whoever said that they should have shown it months ago just to get it out of the way. Timing just felt opportunistic and lame.

WWE is absolutely moronic if they take AEW’s bait. Wrestling industry is petty enough that they might though.

And if they show it again, it needs clear sound. I'm actually amazed they thought airing it without being able to verify anything Punk actually said was smart.

It makes WWE look bad if they take the bait, too. Punk will make a snide comment a small part of the audience gets but is considered either a total knockout or a complete miss by each side, and even that is too much.

If the Bucks didn't want to do this, that's important. Makes me wonder who leaked that information because that's gotta be creating a level of drama if word's out. Bet it was Knox.

Combating the biggest feelgood story wrestling has had in ten years with this petty shit, especially after your own talent LAST WEEK talking about how tribalism sucks and AEW is a great place and everyone supports everyone else (even the recently released), is absolutely terrible.

Exactly. Unless sound materializes, don't talk about it again.

They cut the footage when they uploaded the segment to their YouTube channel so it's unlikely we'll ever see it on TV again (good!).
I just know that before Dynamite even ended there were videos blowing up my algorithms of people talking about how stupid this was. Now a day later there's three times as many, all made worse since AEW is striking people for showing the footage.

What are the odds that we get a sad, serious Tony at the top of Collision (or maybe even Rampage!) apologizing for the footage and promising to never show it again?

Drew has already made snark comments about it but he’s a heel so he should.

Maybe Drew comes out next week wearing a magenta polo shirt clutching his pearls.

I need more Punk "I know a thing or two about locker room fights" comment where he waits for a pop that doesn't come moments.

I actually liked the first half of Ospreay’s promo when he was talking about how he’s flying overseas every week and doesn’t run from the grind. If the interview would have stopped there, great.

Where he lost me was with the potshots about Triple H only having his position because he slept with the boss’s daughter. It was cheap and lame, not to mention it’s fair to wonder what Tony K would be doing right now if not for his own family’s wealth that he was born into.

The McMahons aren’t in charge of WWE anymore. If Triple H sucked as an executive, TKO would’ve sent him packing. (And they still might, depending on what happens with the Vince stuff. Regardless, if Triple H goes, it won’t be because he’s incompetent at his job.)

AEW can’t half ass shots at WWE. They either got to stop entirely or go, ahem… all in (heh). Have Tony Khan awkwardly reenact Suge Knight’s speech at the 1995 Source Awards on Dynamite.

Well it’s nice they’re doing a PPV in Tacoma for Daniel Bryan’s last (?) match but otherwise pretty unsurprising city list.

Idk why they keep going back to Vegas but it’s not like they’re drawing super well anywhere.

Am I a little bitter that Boston still hasn’t gotten an AEW PPV? Maybe. I don’t think Philly has gotten an AEW PPV either come to think of it.

That Ospreay promo was lame as well and a complete disservice to the guy.

This whole mess isn't going to be catastrophic one way or the other but it's still a low point that will be brought up forever. The numbers don't exactly interest me either however I'm curious what the dropoff is after the footage aired.

TK using TEW/EWR default event names is one of my favorite things.

Forbidden Door being listed for Long Island confirms the report that it has been moved from Arthur Ashe.

I really hope Grand Slam gets moved to mid-summer. There’s just no good reason to shoehorn it into late September if AEW is running All In, All Out and WrestleDream that closely together again.

God damn, I haven't seen that many dislikes since WWE uploaded that clip of the Fiend/Seth HIAC.

All of Jack Perry's "Scapegoat" merch has sold out.

The NJPW show in Chicago is gonna be something.

His first match back in AEW has to be in Chicago, right?

Just shows these viewerships aren’t decided by internet interest. The way people were talking two million people were gonna watch it.
