Give him any other role. Maybe he's a good agent, I dunno. He should've been fired and blackballed, and honestly the fact TK brought him back has and continues to really rub me the wrong way. Fuck Jeff.

Bringing it back to a discussion from a week or two ago. Truth is Bret approached Tony Khan before AEW started (not recently as was assumed) for a WFH road agent job and was turned down. He made the same offer to WWE and was turned down.

It is kind of maddening that no major promotion would just pay Bret to watch the shows and call in with input and advice 1 or 2 times a week. No wonder why he is cranky about the current product.

Well that seems to be an issue for the companies, they want people who will buy into whatever vision they have for wrestling and Bret isn’t going to follow the company line, so it’ll be a contentious relationship that probably ends poorly.

We already seen many examples of talent ignoring the advice of legends and agents, Bret doesn’t strike me as a guy who will take kindly to Adam Page ignoring his suggestions and wisdom.

So it’s best for all parties here, unfortunately.

Yeah I wouldn't hire anyone for a work from home agent job. Nobody's gonna take critiques seriously when you only talk to people on the phone.

Road agent is bad fit but maybe some sort of WFH consultant job. Bret’s given enough to to the business where I think he deserves a salary just to stay at home and go to the occasional meet & greet.

The fact that Bret wants want to stay home and get paid for low effort work and Shawn is the guy moving to another state (stealing from the church helped, for sure) and running a developmental company for the future of the business is absolutely not the way we imagined the future would develop back in 1997.

If he really wants to give back and be involved and work from home, just give his buddy Lance Storm a call and I’m sure Lance would love to bring him on board. That company is used to phoned in efforts.

Consultant and ambassador shit. But Bret would've bailed everything when the pandemic started. I just get this feeling he would check out when crowds stopped

They probably have a bunch of times over the years. That's a company he'd be straight miserable in.
Idk if that’s the case anymore but I think it’s too small potatoes for him now. I can’t imagine him wanting to lend his wisdom to a company that is only drawing 2-3k on its best night. He might as well just help out with whatever his idiot brother Bruce has got going on at that point.

I am semi out of the loop on this LuFisto Vs AEW controversy. She worked one three minute YouTube match. How is she suddenly the expert for AEW locker room dissent?

She had a “long convo” with someone allegedly in the locker room who told her the “real shit”.

Like most wrestling related “issues”, it’s most definitely a small kernel of truth buried in a pile of telephone, telegram, tell a wrestler horse shit.

I think she's friends with Thunder Rosa so that is probably the genesis of her gripe. She's just looking for any excuse to rip on Britt and her friends.

I used to love LuFisto way back, but I seriously don't care what she has to say about a place she hasn't and likely will never work. Not worth a reaction, really.

She’s passing on a bunch of second or third hand information and thinks that makes her important. But really I do the same thing so she’s on message board poster tier and we ain’t special

If LuFisto was as good as she thinks she is, she wouldn’t be a 43 year old indie lifer.

KO and Sami Zayn probably would’ve gotten her a job in WWE a long time ago if she was remotely worth employing for a major promotion.

I also read that part of her story and many of her complaints were based on walking in on a conversation between Dustin Rhodes and Ruby Soho, they stopped talking when she walked in. How the fuck do you make it to be 43 years old and think that every time a conversation stops in a locker room it must be about you?

I might be more inclined to doubt LuFisto if a) I weren't reminded of the way AEW seemed to circle the wagons when Big Swole left, and b) the women in AEW speaking out now didn't all happen to be the ones that are regularly featured on TV. I'm also rolling my eyes at Britt co-signing MJF calling LuFisto a "never was" when LuFisto is the only one of the three I'd ever heard of, prior to the first two's respective debuts on Dynamite.

LuFisto never made it, though. Never really got close. I LIKE LuFisto --hell I was surprised and kind of annoyed when she wasn't an early AEW signing-- and don't see any real argument against her being any more than an indie lifer with a small following that probably hasn't grown since she came back from her injury back in the Myspace days. She's talented and probably has a lot to offer but she is kind of a never was. In this instance she really does have as much credibility as a twitter follower.

There is zero reason to believe Lufisto. Nothing she is saying makes sense.

Swole was also clearly full of shit. AEW has problems like any company but this shit isnt it.

LuFisto hasn't even gotten an Impact run despite it being a Canadian based promotion and her being a mentor/occasional tag team partner to Jordynne Grace.

I know people called pre-2020 Eddie Kingston a "never was" but at least, he had runs in Impact and NWA.

The shit she's spreading makes no sense. She is saying Tony was in a meeting about shooting on Tunder Rosa. Thats crazy.

It isn't just people in AEW saying positive things about the people Lufisto is attacking either. There are statements coming from people in WWE and the indies who AEW has not brought back. It's basically universal.
