I feel like that match isn't going to happen and it's just going to be an angle of some kind.By the way, unless it ends up being essential to the main event storyline, putting MJF and Cole in a preshow tag team match at All In seems like a wildly unnecessary risk. I get wanting to have some sort of big match on the preshow so that everyone is in their seats when the main show goes live, but you have a ton of other viable options on the roster to fill that slot.
CM Punk caused controversy following this past week’s edition of AEW Collision when he made divisive comments about “Hangman” Adam Page and The Elite during an off-air promo. Punk branded Page as “a peg warmer, unlike me who moves merchandise and pops ratings and sells toys” before taking a shot at AEW stars who believe they are the heart, soul, and spirit of the promotion, a statement made in the past by The Elite. He then tried to make a GTS joke but fumbled it before admitting he had been “rocked” during the main event.
Wrestling Observer reports that Adam Page was originally sent to Greensboro to record a pre-taped interview for this Wednesday’s edition of Dynamite. When he got there, however, he was told he’d have to do the pre-tape away from the arena and not attend the show whatsoever. It was also noted that Page is not the only talent that’s encountered an issue like this.
Fightful reports that Ryan Nemeth was set to appear on Collision this past week but was sent home after being told he wasn’t needed. Earlier today, on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Melzer confirmed the report and stated that this was not the first time this had happened to Nemeth or others on the AEW roster. Matt Hardy was apparently booked as well and was told not to go to the building after getting into town for the taping. The same goes for Christopher Daniels, who has been working ROH tapings and is the promotions Head of Talent Relations.
Haus of Wrestling has confirmed that at least two of these men not being backstage at Collision stem from issues with CM Punk. Notably, Christopher Daniels’ involvement in the post-AEW All Out altercation was specifically portrayed to us as the reason The Fallen Angel is not at Collision. Since Ace Steel, Punk’s good friend, was also involved in the altercation but not allowed to return backstage for Collision, Punk is said to feel the same about Daniels and does not want him backstage either.

I can't believe anyone would let him do this lmao.
This is basically the spot I'm in. Since the BCC/Elite stuff has kinda wound down there isn't anything I give a shit about on Dynamite. I'm sick of Jericho, so anything involving him is an immediate channel turner for me. The Cole/MJF stuff is fine, but I'm just not an Adam Cole guy. I'm sure Omega will have a great match Takeshita, but the story around it just isn't that interesting to me. The womens division is a mess.lmao. I kinda wish Punk sucked, b/c I'm so much more interested in what he's doing on Collision than anything anyone else on the roster is doing, but also I think he might be killing the company.
As highlighted on August 13, Ryan Nemeth was brought into North Carolina before the tapings, before he was promptly sent home. We’ve learned more about the words that they had recently. According to those familiar with the situation, Punk approached Nemeth when the two were at the Chicago Dynamite, where Punk was asked to be at. Punk spoke to Nemeth and asked him to make good on his “literally the softest man alive” tweet. The two moved out of the locker room and into a hallway, where those close to Punk claim that Nemeth said he was working to get heat. Punk believed that the tweet was Nemeth trying to score points with his friends, and asked him to knock it off because “tensions were high and they were trying to move on.” He said that he didn’t want Nemeth being passive aggressive unless they were handling it another way.
People close to Punk claim that Nemeth apologized, and that the two shook hands.
It was confirmed to us that Punk didn’t want Nemeth on Collision, even eating in catering, much less wrestling on the show. It wasn’t clarified to us if that was because of his tweet, or the relationship with the Elite. In addition, Nick Hausman of Haus of Wrestling reported that the reason Christopher Daniels was kept from Collision because Ace Steel, CM Punk’s friend, is not allowed at Collision. Punk didn’t see that as fair, as Daniels was also involved in breaking up the Brawl Out fight last September.
We have confirmed that Matt Hardy and Isiah Kassidy were supposed to be at recent AEW Collision episodes, and their travel was booked, then unbooked. They were not scheduled to be at this past week’s episode of Collision.
The talent that have been pulled are of the belief that it was CM Punk, but we haven’t heard specifically that’s the case. That same suspicion is part of the domino effect that led to where we are now, dating back to speculation that Colt Cabana was initially not going to be re-signed by AEW.
What happened to White feuding with Punk?
Provoking a brawl with your spouse’s friends is probably enough excuse to avoid.Anyone's guess. One of these articles also said that Britt Baker is staying away from Punk for who knows what reason but I can only assume bad.
