Kingston proved everyone wrong. I never would've ever expected him to get to the level he is. I remember thinking at the time Impact signing him was a sign of how bad they'd fallen. He was supposed to be in AEW for a week and completely rebuilt his whole career when he got the shot. How many live TV shots has LuFisto worked?

I don't understand why anyone is listening to her or paying any attention. It isn't like it's a slow news cycle this week. Also probably fucked Rosa over no matter what, too.

On the Big Swole subject someone tell me how many bookings she gets, if she was as good a wrestler as she thought she should be getting a lot of them. She said Tony was racist and she merited more opportunity, so I'm curious to know.

People circle the wagons when they hear something that's either true or not, if what Lufisto said was true, some people out there would be circling the wagons for her and they're not. She thought Ruby and Dustin were talking shit about her based on nothing, and she ran wild with that shit. I can't stand when people think everything revolves around them. Nah man when two people are talking and stop, it very most likely has absolutely nothing to do with you.

maybe it wasn’t the best thing for someone who appears to have mental health concerns to become a target of organized scorn but she opened this proverbial can of worms herself.

I hope she’s safe but she kinda deserves some of the dragging she got. Some people went too far as always but that’s the course of action in these silly internet dramas.

Maybe it’s not a smart idea for someone with mental health issues to attack the professional wrestling promotion with the most extremely online fanbase.

I feel bad about that. AEW needs to police their fans better on social media because the meanest shit always comes from the hardcores. They were so vicious to Taya for her bad fake fight with the dentist that it kinda broke her brain.

Maybe leading is wrong word but again, AEW’s fanbase is extremely online and even if they aren’t naming names of who they are talking about, the nerds know who they are talking about.

yeah fuck that. they aren't responsible for that. Lufisto went after their coworkers and SHE named names. They were as coy as possible. The overwhelming majority of comments by AEW workers were just saying how great ruby is not even shitting on anyone. The workers don't need to police the fanbase.

LuFisto is definitely mostly to blame for her own troubles but I feel like in the future, maybe AEW stars should take a “lions don’t sleep over the thoughts of sheep” approach when these situations arise.

The word doesn't exist for what I think I want (it isn't as strong as "responsibility" and it definitely isn't "accountability") but it just seems like something needs to be said. "We know what's going around, don't harass that asshole, thank you for your support" kinda thing, not like actually anything super important. I also feel like it's fucking dumb that I'm thinking like that but so are people, and I don't think it's very different than their disclaimer they do before shows (which for the record I also think shouldn't be necessary but exists for not dissimilar reasons).

Absolutely all falls on LuFisto, though, and I must say it's surreal thinking she mattered enough to have me talk about her in the present tense. Like there is nothing about her or even what she said that seems close to warranting anything.

I do think what MJF tweeted sucked, btw. Not for Lufisto specifically. But in general. Disappointing that's the way he views the industry.

It’s a pretty reductionist viewpoint of how wrestling or any art form really works.

Unless it’s kayfabe and part of a slow build to an eventual MJF Vs Eddie Kingston feud (knock on wood, @Valeyard ).

Also I’d like to point out here that MJF once shoot cried tears of joy after a match he had in Maine for Limitless where he wrestled Teddy Hart and Teddy put him over in the post match promo.

MJF was the closest to being mean and everything he says is a worked shoot so it didn't bother me at all and he still wasn't really over the line at all to me. AEW like any company should have a policy with how workers act on social media and yeah maybe it would have been better to just ignore Lufisto but I think overall the fact the reaction from the talent (including non aew) was 95 percent just to say nice things about Ruby is pretty good. I didn't see Lufisto telling her fans to be nice to Britt Baker, Ruby, or any of the people she specifically named.

Haven't gotten around to watching Collision yet, but I just read a report which said that Diamante turned heel last night, and my kneejerk reaction was, "Turned heel?" Did I miss the part of Diamante's run in AEW when she was ever booked as a babyface?

I was listening to Nick Hausman’s podcast, and his guest, Cameron Hawkins of the Ringer, said he was told by Ricky Starks the original plan for the end of Collision was for Ricky Steamboat to chop Starks in the post-match confrontation.

But shortly before the match, Steamboat pulled Punk and Starks into a room and changed it to the spot we got with Starks whipping him with his belt because Steamboat knew it would draw more heat for the guy they were trying to build up as a heel.

There’s something delightful about the idea of Ricky standing behind a door whispering “PSSST” and motioning for Punk and Starks to come in his room to tell them his idea.

My working theory after watching Dynamite: Everyone assumes MJF is going to eventually screw over Adam Cole, but what’s actually going to happen is that Roderick Strong and those Kingdom goofs are going to somehow help Cole win at All In and it will turn out that they were in cahoots to screw over MJF all along.
