In the last couple of weeks, Netflix has cancelled Travelers after three seasons which was (in my opinion) a really clever and well written Science Fiction show, and then Starz followed up by cancelling Counterpart (starring J.K. Simmons in two roles) after two seasons, which was one of the best shows I've watched in years. Two of my very favorite shows axed in as many weeks. There is apparently a very slight chance that Counterpart might get rescued, but I'm not holding my breath. At least in both cases, the show-runners seemed to see it coming and wrapped the shows up with fairly conclusive season finales, especially in the case of Travelers.
