Fox cancelled LA To Vegas. I couldn't get into it, and I don't see why Fox would've kept it if they cancelled better sitcoms with more potential anyways.

Shows should start filming two season finales just in case they don't get renewed. Tired of endings leaving me looking forward to the next season only for it to be cancelled.

Also: Cancellations would need to be announced sooner in this fantasy world.

I like that more series are seeing the writing on the wall and write seasons finales as the series send-off. Gives closure to millions of viewers.

Low rated daytime cooking show that was pretty much DOA once Mario Batali was accused of sexual harassment.

CBS axed "Code Black" finishing out its 3rd Season over the summer. It was on the bubble last year but got renewed.

“Code Black” was a bubble show in 2016-17 but made the cut for CBS this season. It returned April 25 to modest ratings — the four episodes that have aired thus far are averaging a 0.7 rating among adults 18-49 and 5.45 million viewers."

Daredevil is done. Seems like they’re killing every marvel series that’s not already in production. Which punisher and Jones are. So they’ll get cancelled a month or so after coming back.

I know this is for the Disney steaming thing. I’m not interested in getting another monthly bill though.

Yeah I find it hilarious that these companies think that we all want to pay out our ass for twenty different streaming providers. I cut the cable cord mainly to shave costs off, but if I signed up for every streaming service that I was remotely interested in I'd be paying way more than my old cable bill. Fuck that noise.

I don't think they all think we want it - they don't want to share the profit. A company like Disney doesn't need Netflix and would make insane money with any one of their individual libraries (Disney Classics, Marvel, Star Wars) let alone all of them. Personally, Netflix gets worse to me all the time. They are carrying less content from studios in favor of their own originals, most of which I don't care about. Some of that is part of the studios pulling their stuff but I think Netflix started moving away from the studios, which caused them to start looking at their own services.

It will be interesting how it all pans out. I think Disney's will be be at the top of the game but if companies start rolling out underwhelming platforms like how I see that DC Universe service, many will fizzle out.

Interesting stuff from Deadline that it may also be a little more than just the actual Disney+ vs. Netflix home aspect and the cost of the Marvel shows themselves.

"In that context, Netflix and Marvel TV have also been arguing over the season orders and that may have played a role in Daredevil’s demise, as it did Luke Cage‘s. Being part of the first wave of Netflix original series, all Marvel series have produced 13-episode seasons. But Netflix has since switched to seasons of 10 episodes and has been pressuring Marvel TV to switch to fewer episodes, which the company had been resisting.

There also have been creative issues, with a revolving door of showrunners on Marvel’s Netflix shows. There have been new showrunners for every season of Daredevil, with Iron Fist for and Jessica Jones’ also undergoing a showrunner change."

When Murphy Brown was on in the first place it felt like a show for 60 year olds. No surprise at all it didn’t stick around. I don’t think most of these revivals work because TV has gotten so much better since they were on in the first place. And in the cases of Heroes and 24 those shows had so little interest by the time they were ending their initial runs.

Or they don’t adapt enough. Shows like Fuller House are successful because they keep the formula intact and sprinkle just enough of what made the original show work while creating actual new content.

Happy Together wasn't great but it made me laugh because I love Damon Wayans Jr. I wish he could land a project that sticks.

Although I haven't watched this season yet, it's on my DVR, I loved Z Nation. I found it be a fun show, and much better than it really had any right to be for an Asylum production.

Also, Marlon was given the axe. The better half of the Wayans can't catch a break.

Better half? He’s the one who was holding onto spoof movies with a death grip not that long ago. And I use spoof pretty loosely. More like reference movies. “Hey. Remember this thing from a couple years ago? We’re bringing it up.”
