My point is you got mad when I made a Sony joke...even though I am a Sony customer just because I greatly prefer XBox. Like..."You like one of the two things you paid for better so you can't say anything bad about the one you don't like as much."

It's not a war between things that I own. That battle ended years ago.

No one is saying you can't say anything bad about Sony. They fucked up. Yes, Kaz is an idiot. We all know that. But don't act like Sony has a patent on fuck ups. I don't give a shit if you own both, but I'll be honest.. if someone owns both but doesn't even go as far as to use the console or service that was compromised, then I couldn't give a shit as to what they think about the situation.. especially when their contribution to the thread amounts to dumb ass one liners that aren't even funny.

No more talking about this unless you have praise for Sony. Got it.

Just read that, too. Was hoping for sooner as my MK trial pass for online is expired now. :(

Though.. mainly I just want me some new New Vegas DLC! Can't wait for that!

You have to redeem your code that came with the game and that requires the store to work.

Yeah. w/o the store though you can use a "trial period" option when you play the game, but I think it expires after 24 hours. I guess they included that for people who mainly buy used. Either way they need to think of a better way to activate this stuff.. like use their own servers or something.. it kind of sucks that so many things rely on the store to work.

Good news for MK players:

"Due to the recent PSN outage," reads the statement [from WB and NetherRealm], at nearly celebratory likes, "Mortal Kombat for PS3 will now be playable online without need for the Kombat Pass. This is a temporary solution that will only be available while Playstation Store is unavailable. Once PlayStation Store is back up, users will be able to enter the Kombat Pass code included with Mortal Kombat or purchase a Kombat Pass for $9.99."

The PlayStation store is back up, though none of the free games have been updated yet.

Welp, still not time for me to get back online then.

Store is back, welcome back goodies are available for download, you've got until July 3rd to get your free games.

Free movie rentals this weekend only, and the movies are:
Ghostbusters
Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within
Bad Boys

Foolish me thinking the rentals were going to be a larger selection (I was thinking 20-30ish movies) and slightly more recent with maybe one big block buster of the last few years thrown in there.

I don't care for how they're trying to bullshit me and say BTTF Episode 3 has been up since May 2nd, but I guess in their world it has. The trailer for Citizen Brown looked pretty cool at the end of Episode 2, so I'm looking forward to playing it.

The Welcome Back thing is just so lacklustre, IMO. What if someone owns all of those games already? Why not just give everyone 2 free downloads of anything. It doesn't seem like that big of a deal, to me. I mean shit.. I don't even think I'm going to use my downloads, to be honest.

Anyone know what the games are on the JPN store? I have had an active account on there for a few years now.

The Last Guy sounds like a hentai adventure game, so that's just what I'm gonna assume everyone is getting.

3 alleged PlayStation Network hackers arrested in Spain

New York Times is reporting that three suspects have been arrested by the Spanish police for their alleged involvement in the attack on the Sony PlayStation Network in April. They are considered the “local leadership” of the Anonymous hacker group, which operates anonymously but cooperatively in cells spread around the world.

The trio first caught the Spanish police’e eye back in October when they protested the Spanish Ministry of Culture’s legislation for “increasing punishments for illegal downloads” by attacking the Ministry’s Web site, according to the article. After analyzing chat logs and Web pages, the police was able to trace the source of the Sony PlayStation online gaming store outage to one of the suspect’s server, which operates out of his apartment in Gijón. It is apparently the same server that also brought down other sites: two Spanish banks, the Italian energy company Enel, as well as government sites in Spain, Egypt, Algeria, Libya, Iran, Chile, Colombia and New Zealand.

If proven guilty, the hackers could face up to three years in jail for forming an illegal association to attack public and corporate Web sites.

It is unclear if the suspects or the group were the only ones responsible for the breach of the PSN and other sites, or whether Anonymous partnered with other hacker organizations to target Sony online entities.
