I would not consider Kyle O'Reilly famous before WWE. I wouldn't consider him famous now either. His run in WWE was definitely where he gained his biggest exposure though. How many people watched ROH? Most of his NJPW run was before World IIRC and it's not like that has a HUGE number of subs either.
