A quick GIS makes the Batman: Earth One outfit to look a bit more realistic of a take on the classic costume, kinda how the Cap outfit in the recent movie takes the basic theme and just makes it more like a military uniform.

Robin is coming to Batman: Arkham City as a playable character in the game’s Challenge Mode. We’ve seen concept renders and artwork of what the character will look like in the game, but today we’re seeing actual character skins. But not just one, we’re seeing three. Thanks to some Internet super sleuthing, ArkhamCity.co.uk has unearthed what Robin will look like in the game, as well as two extra costumes the character will have at his disposal.

Everyone, say hi to standard Arkham City Robin, as well as Red Robin and Robin from the animated series.

As of right now, Robin is strictly a pre-order incentive at Best Buy. However, there is a likely chance that all pre-order material for Arkham City will be made available as DLC down the road. Is it definite? No. But WB Games and Rocksteady would be stupid to not offer it up later to make a little extra scratch. Because let’s be honest, people will buy this type of stuff.

For those unfamiliar with where these costumes come from, let me enlighten you. Red Robin is currently the get-up that Tim Drake rocks in the comics to distinguish himself from the current Robin, Bruce Wayne’s biological son, Damian. But the Red Robin costume has roots that extend as far back as 1996’s seminal Kingdom Come comic mini-series by Mark Waid and Alex Ross.

In regards to the animated series look, many consider the cartoon show from the early ‘90s to be the definitive version of Batman and the cast of characters that populate Gotham. And you know what, we’re not going to argue with them. Batman: The Animated Series is nearly flawless. So to see tribute paid to it in Arkham City is quite awesome.

I don't like the costume on the left (because I don't recognize it) but it sounds like that's THE costume of Robin now. Bruce Wayne has a son now, eh? Who is his mother, Selina?

Then who is in the middle? I thought the article was trying to explain that one suit (which I assumed was far left) was the default Robin costume, then they explained the Red Robin and BTAS costume. I found it weird it only explained two costumes.

Edit: You edited your post to have more info... though I'm still a bit confused. BTAS costume it is!

Yeah they worded it oddly. The one in the middle is the default. The one on the left is Red Robin. The one on the right is (obv) Animated Series. ;)

I forgot that Biff Tannen murdered his parents until recently (just happened to catch Robin's Reckoning on Teletoon Retro).

Very excited to play as Red Robin. Of all the great things that have come out about this game, funnily enough that's probably what just sealed the deal as far as me buying it.

If challenge mode is just a beat em up type deal, really wish they would have all of the Bat family included. Nightwing, Batgirl etc..

I think Batgirl is Oracle in this universe (she's always yapping with you in the first game, right?). But then I guess there's a non Barbara Gordon Batgirl too.

Yea, there's 2 non-Barbara Gordon Batgirls. And considering one of them is basically a crazy mute Chinese assassin, she'd fit perfectly in this universe lol.

5 years ago some friends of mine had a Batman figure with a gold on his suit and a red machine gun. Pretty sure it was some Chinese bootleg they found somewhere, but I'd like that skin in the game.

Batman of Zur-en-arrh. Which I hate by the way. But definitely an interesting skin.

Was watching an interview done by Angry Joe about this game with one of the people who work on it. Few quick notes.
-Said game will probably be 25 hours story, 40 hours for 100%, not counting challenge maps.
-DLC expansions to story possible.
-Robin ONLY challenge maps.
-Single player only, despite both Bats and Catwoman being playable in the story.
-Boss fights will be unique to each villain (unlike Arkham Asylum's fights)

Also during that interview, Joe (who if you don't know during his videos wears a black shirt with a red Superman logo on it) kept trying to say that Rocksteady should make a Superman game. And I agree.

Gamesradar gave it a 10/10. It's only complaints were wishing they had done more with Catwoman, and
Two-Face doesn't stick around for too long.

I'm quite interested in this now.

As awesome as the game looks to be, I can wait a while before picking it up. It doesn't have any multiplayer, so there isn't a pressing need of playing it now vs 4 months from now. Don't get me wrong, I will buy it. I just want to work through my backlog of games before I spend $60 on a game that I don't have time for right now.

I'll be getting it on Tuesday since I pre-ordered and also have enough Best Buy certs to cover the price, but I might not get to this until after Skyrim... so maybe not until February or so. Shame - looks incredible.

This. I have too many games I haven't been playing but I told myself already I will make time for this one.

I have a pile of things to play...but every so often a game comes out that I put the time in so it never reaches that pile. Skyrim will be that way too.

Just pre-ordered my copy at a slight discount. I haven't read anything about this other than some review scores. I've only seen the initial teaser trailer from a couple of years ago, and an image of Catwoman, and Robin. Going into this game knowing as little as possible for any neat surprises. Stoked.

It broke release date in Australia so I just got it. So... yeah, take that America. That's what you get for ruining the world's economy.
