Just turned the game on... save erased. Registered as no story started. Glorious. I was at 41% of the main story completed. So frustrated I don't even want to look at it for months. I'll check back in after Skyrim.

Seems the game suffers from a currently unfixable random problem of the dlc being registered as damaged at any point in the game and boots you back to the dashboard.

I kept myself from reading anything about this game, so, um, when Robin showed up, I was totally shocked. It's dumb but I haven't been so surprised while playing a video game in a while. Even though I really dislike Robin and I'm not sure why, it was still cool.

I marked out that after the museum you use your detective skills and set out to find Ra's Al Ghul. I don't even know why. Maybe just because of how seamlessly they weaved these awesome characters in and out of the story.

Beat this. Only issue I had was game didn't warn me that I wouldn't be able to do side missions after a certain point. Otherwise one of my fav games ever.

I spent 2 hours playing this last night and still have "0%" as my progress. Lots of fun just beating up goons in the city, trying to take in the scope of it all.

These fucking Victor missions with his fucking phones are driving me nuts. Like I am supposed to get halfway across the city then underground, CRAWL to a pay phone and answer it in under 2 minutes.

I also enjoy the thug banter, such as them wondering if Harley used to be a man, if Catwoman is bi-sexual, and complimenting Catwoman's outfit during a fight (then demanding she take it off).

Whoa - that must be towards the end. I was 79% on the Zsasz sub missions before my game erased. They do get progressively harder but if you go through the AR missions to get the grapple boost then you can get to them pretty easy.

The trick is to release the right trigger and not immediately pull back on the left stick, that way batman levels himself off properly and going through the tunnels is cake

I was having a problem with the dive bomb because the on-screen text saying how to do it vanished almost immediately after I'd jump, but then I realized I could pause and look it up. Kind of cool to dive through the ground to get a trophy.

The thing that pissed me off is you get nothing for beating the advanced AR missions.

I was confused / lost / GTA'ing it very early already. I was supposed to be following the radio signal but ended up following the strength to a red Batman symbol... but it was just an AR mission. I then left that are completely and went somewhere else, stopped some random muggings / rescued political prisoners, picked up some Riddler trophies, then realized "oh I probably should have stayed where I went the first time". Fun.

My copy arrived today. This nails the atmosphere of the first game while making everything bigger. I have a few days off from work this week (basically using vacation time before the holiday insanity begins), so I'll be able to dive into it a lot more. I love how they set it in a city but still make things feel as creepy and claustrophobic as Arkham Asylum. I'm not even into Batman all that much and this still sucks me into it's world.

The first line of dialogue Two-Face gives at the beginning of the game really sounded like Richard Moll from TAS, so that was exciting, but then of course it's not.

When checking previous achievements, I realized I played Asylum on "Easy" because I wanted to be sure I saw the entire story. If that game had described the easy setting the way City does, I wouldn't have ever touched it (plus Normal assures me I am "THE BATMAN" and can handle it).

I've found that whipping smoke bombs into crowds of dudes is highly effective. Especially if you can get them to start beating on each other as a result. Not since AC: Brotherhood has fighting groups of enemies been so fun and well done.

Is there an upgrade later? So far all I've been able to do is be hidden for like, 2 seconds before the smoke density meter runs out. I found it was effective for taking out the armed tugs at GCPD though (attack, smoke, grapple to a gargoyle, repeat).

On that subject, I think I was close to where I needed to be for that part of the story there, but then I decided to do some of the Superman 64 missions, found a ringing phone, saved some political prisoners, and officially activated the Riddler stuff. Then I had to go to work.
